Front Stub Axle With Types

The front wheels of a vehicle are mounted on stub axles, which are connected to the front axle via a king pin. means of king pin.


The stub axles are the forging of 3 percent nickel steel and alloy steels containing chromium
and vanadium.

The stub axle turns on the pin which is a light drive fit in the axle beam eye located and
locked by a taper pin or some similar arrangement.
Stub axle can have any of four shapes given in Fig.
