ACTIVITIES : 1. Weak pupils list down animals based on the audio (sounds of animals).
2. Average pupils list down animals based on body parts of animals in a set of
i. PRE-LESSON
pictures.
3. Excellent pupils write the name of the animals on the whiteboard according
to categories – pets/wild animals
ii. LESSON 1. Pupils are divided into groups and each group is assigned with a stanza of the
DEVELOPMENT poem.
2. Weak pupils identify the animals, objects and places in the poem.
3. Average pupils identify the activities of the animals and human in the poem.
4. Excellent pupils identify past tense verbs within the stanza and write the
present tense verbs.
5. Each group produce a creative graphic organiser based on their findings on
poster sheets.
iii. POST-LESSON 1. Walk and stick activity
Poster sheets are displayed around the classroom and the best graphic
organiser with the most number of sticky notes is selected as the winner.
2. Teacher discusses pupils’ assignments in relation to the feelings of the
animals in the poem based on a set of comprehension questions.
