The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has removed all restrictions on passport renewal applications at BLS International centers as of July 15th due to recent relaxations of COVID-19 restrictions by UAE authorities. Senior citizens over 60, minors under 12, pregnant women, and differently abled applicants are still exempt from being physically present when submitting applications. All applicants should continue following social distancing and wear masks and gloves when visiting BLS centers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Advisory on Passport Services

Keeping in view of recent relaxation in restrictions relating to Covid-19 pandemic being


implemented by the UAE Authorities, the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, further to our advisory
dated
21st June 2020, has decided to remove all restrictions on passport renewal applications to be
submitted at BLS International centers w.e.f 15.07.2020 (Wednesday) thereby enabling
concerned applicants to avail passport renewal service as was practiced earlier to our first
advisory in this regard dated 19.03.2020.

However, our advisory dated 17.06.2020 conveying relaxation by exempting the physical
presence of senior citizen (above 60 years), minor children (below 12 years), pregnant women
and differently abled applicants at the time of the submission of passport application may
continue till further improvement in the situation.

All applicants are requested to continue to maintain appropriate social distancing norms
in accordance with local rules and regulations and wear face masks and hand gloves while
visiting BLS centers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
