The classical approach is to use the DesignBase GUI and from the keyboard to change the
network component data: feeder, power transformer, generator, etc.
A useful and fast method in changing the project data is to use the Text Editor, as shown in the
figures below. The procedure is recommended for large projects – above 2,000 buses.

2. Within the DesignBase software, launch the DesignBase Job File Editor (Text Editor; the
user may also use WINEDSA):

3. Within the Job File Editor (Text Editor), select the network component you need to
change the input data. It can be a bus or a branch.

b. Select the induction motor, you want the change the input data, and then click
“Edit”, as shown in the figure capture below:

e. In this case, select “By Bus Type” and then click “OK”:
f. Use the scroll arrow to navigate throughout the induction motors. Select
the motor you want to change the data, and then change the input data: Short
circuit or/and Load Flow data:

h. Once the task is completed, click “OK” button, as shown in the figure capture
below:
