Department of Education: School Learning Continuity Plan
Department of Education
Region VII – CENTRAL VISAYAS
SCHOOLS DIVISION OF BOHOL
PEDRO S. BUDIONGAN HIGH SCHOOL
MONTESUERTE, CARMEN, BOHOL
Rationale:
Department of Education Secretary Leonor M. Briones pronounced that education must continue despite the pandemic the world is facing presently. Hence, the
department released DepEd Order No. 7, series of 2020 “School Calendar and Activities for School Year 2020-2021” providing guidelines for DepEd undertakings in
continuing education amidst the threat of COVID-19.
The opening of school year 2020-2021 was set on August 24, 2020. It is a great challenge for DepEd to continue education since health of every Filipino is of
high consideration this time. Educational continuity in public schools is somehow rolling against the path to the battle against COVID-19 such as crowding, social
distancing, staying at home and many more. With this scenario, DepEd or the school itself must make sure that government mandate (DOH, IATF,OP etc.) must be
strictly followed. Hence, it is the initiative of the school with the guidance of higher office to program activities or mechanism in order to avoid the cause of the
spreading of the virus.
This school learning continuity plan will ensure the continuity of learning to K to 12 learners of Pedro S. Budiongan High School, a school situated in a remote
barangay in Carmen. This will serve as the New Normal Scheme of the school to address the educational needs to more than 400 learners in the junior and senior high
school. This will also serve as guide to school administration, teachers, parents and stakeholders in the school’s day to day operation and learning delivery.
General objective:
Prepare the school for the actual learning and learning activities during the opening of classes to effectively and efficiently deliver the “Most Essential Learning
Competencies (MELC)” using an appropriate mode and with the adherence of the government policies and guidelines towards the well-being of the learners.
