General Description
This document specifies armoured fire resistant (IEC 60331) multi loose tube cable with a steel central
strength member, containing up to 6 mica tape wrapped water blocking gel filled tubes and each tube
can contain up to a maximum 6 fibers. The cable jacket incorporates an Aluminium moisture tape, an
inner PE jacket, a layer of steel wire armouring and LSZH outer jacket. The mica tape will protect the
fibers in the event of fire, so that they can maintain the property and integrity, continuing to support
the signal transmission for some time. The steel wire armouring provides mechanical and rodent
protection, thus making it suitable for direct burial & harsh environment installations. In addition, the
outer flame retardant Low Smoke Zero Halogen outer jacket will provide not only the flame-retardant
capability, but also emit low smoke and non-toxic gas when it is burnt.

SPECIAL FIBER CABLE
Loose Tube
PBT tube, containing up 6 fibers each. The tubes are filled with thixotropic gel to prevent the ingress
of water. Each loose tube is being wrapped by mica tape helically as fire barrier.

Aluminium Moisture Barrier


0.15mm Aluminium tape is applied over the cable core to prevent water ingression and acts as
moisture barrier.

Inner Jacket
PE inner jacket is extruded over the moisture barrier.

Steel Wire Armour


Steel wire armour is longitudinally applied over the inner jacket.

Outer Jacket
LSZH outer jacket is extruded over the armour.
