Computer Engineering - The Course I Chose!

Computer Engineering wasn't the writer's first choice of major, as they had dreamed of becoming an architect since childhood. However, financial factors led them to choose a more affordable option. The writer developed an early interest in computers at age 10 from using their mother's work computer. While only having basic knowledge then, they were curious to learn more beyond the surface level. Although not their original dream, the writer is happy with their choice of Computer Engineering and believes it was God's will, testing their patience but being worth the wait.

Write a reflection on

“Computer Engineering – the course I chose!”

(At Least 200 words)

With all honesty, Computer Engineering wasn’t my first choice. Ever since I was
a kid, I wanted to be an architecture, it is really my dream to draw structures of homes
and building. However, there are factors that affects my decision of what course to
choose in entering college. As a son who understands that my parents weren’t capable
of sending me to school for my architectural dream, I thought of courses that would still
make me happy and Computer Engineering comes to my mind.
My interest with computers started when I was only 10 years old, during those
time kids like me don’t have any gadgets and I have to go with my mom to work just so I
can use her computer at work. When she is done working, I then play computer games
and that’s where I become familiar with the basics of computer from the starting up until
the shutting down. My knowledge about computers was very basic that it is the floating
surface learning and I believe there’s deeper than what I know. Beyond all things about
computer that my eyes can see.
Although this is not my first choice, I am happy that I chose this course. I know
this will test my patience a lot but it will also teach me that all things that are God’s will
are worth to wait no matter how hard it may take in this journey.
