Insights

The document that I have read explains the importance of art and how it can affect a nation in
different aspects. I have just realized how art is not appreciated and well-used in our country after
reading the document. We are more focused on economic and technical needs as well as logic and
reason but not the artistic side. I believe that all people have their own artistic side but because of the
lack of recognition and support, it is hidden deep inside ourselves. Arts can help lessen poverty and
decrease the unemployment rate. In my experience, there are lots of aspiring artists around but they
chose not to pursue their passion because of the lack of support coming from the nation and their
parents as they believe that there is very less money that people can gain from it. I believe that artists
and aspiring artists deserves better and proper support, as well as the scientists. I also believe that if
there were only enough support coming from the government and the leaders, our nation could’ve been
in a better state and the people would have many other choices in order to be successful and survive.
There were also some facts that the author included such as the percentage of employment rate and the
nations GDP also. These are just a few things that could happen if arts were given proper attention that
is equal to politics and science related professions. The change may not happen overnight but it is sure
that everything will get better if once the government pays proper attention to arts and soon, no more
aspiring artists would be discouraged in achieving their dreams and becoming successful with the things
they love to do. I hope that new leaders would give support and attention in the arts culture for the sake
of everyone, not just the leaders themselves.
