Space Heaters for Switchgear/Panel Industry


Advance Electricals manufactures Space heaters for switchgear panel industry that are used
for moisture control in LT & HT control panels. Space heaters are ideal for prevention of
condensation, corrosion, leakage currents in LT & HT Switchgear panel boards. These are
specially developed to ensure rapid heat dissipation.

Space Heater (Standard)


This special design includes a stainless steel sheathed cartridge heating element in a
perforated sheet metal enclosure with black iodized finish that ensures rapid heat dissipation

A 2 X 2.5 mm2 porcelain connector is provided for electrical connection. This heater can be
installed in vertical or horizontal position, although horizontal mounting is preferred.

Distance from the surface of the panel should be at least 10 mm and from plastic parts should
be at least 50 mm. Available in models ranging from 40 to 300 W

Each Heater is tested for following tests.

1) High Voltage Test at 2 KV for 1min.

2) Insulation Resistance >10 mega ohms

3) Power rating within ± 5%.

Standard model
Box Type Space Heater
Advance Electricals Box type Space Heaters are ideal for prevention of condensation,
corrosion. Leakage currents in L.T. & H.T. Switchgear panel boards, electronic instruments &
panels etc. The specially developed design incorporates a High Quality mica insulated Kanthal
heating element in Aluminum enclosure.

A 1 X 1 mm terminal block is provided for electrical connection. Installation can be done in


vertical or horizontal position, although horizontal mounting is preferred. Distance from
surface of panel should be at least 10 mm. and distance from plastic parts should be at least
50 mm.

Each heater is tested for following specific tests

1) High Voltage Test At 2Kv for 1min.

2) Insulation Resistance > 10 Mega Ohms.

3) Power rating within ± 5%.

Box type space heater

Strip & Finned Strip Heaters are available in lengths of 9”(228mm), 12”(305mm)

Watts: 40W, 60W, 80W, 100W, 150W, 200W & 250W At 230Volts.

Also Available in 110V, 415V & 8” Length.

Automatic snap action thermostat for temperature controlling
This automatic snap action thermostat comes

within an enclosed casing of sheet metal and

is being a revolution in temperature controlling

this prevents failure due to long use and

elongated cycles and also decreases cost

function due to costing of only 1/3 against

traditional stem type thermostat.

For the first time in India Advance electricals

launched this as an accessory of space heaters

and turned out extremely successful.
