Developing a Career Plan

Objective: Develop elements of a career plan.

1. What job title would you realistically like to get when you graduate from JU?

2. What are you looking for in a career? (Answer this question by reflecting on your values, life
purposes, interests, and motivations.)

3. Why should an employer hire you? (Answer this question by reflecting on your strengths, your
experiences and accomplishments, how those strengths, experiences, and accomplishments
might benefit an employer, and things that differentiate yourself from other people and that
give you a competitive advantage over other people.)

4. What is your ultimate career goal?

1. What job title would you realistically like to get when you graduate from JU?

Ans: I would like to get Management trainee officer (MTO) in Fast moving consumer good
companies when I will graduate from JU.
2. What are you looking for in a career? (Answer this question by reflecting on your values, life
purposes, interests, and motivations.)

Ans: What I looking for in a career based on my values, life purposes, interests, and motivations
are given below:

Values:
 I always use my creativity and communication skill to achieve something.
 I appreciate independence in workplace.

Life purposes:
 My life purpose will be accepting the new challenge and handle it efficiently.

Interests:
 My interest in New product development and Promotional activity because here I can use
my idea and creativity.

Motivation:
 Implement an idea and get recognized for that always motivate me.

3. Why should an employer hire you? (Answer this question by reflecting on your strengths, your
experiences and accomplishments, how those strengths, experiences, and accomplishments
might benefit an employer, and things that differentiate yourself from other people and that
give you a competitive advantage over other people.)

Ans: My strengths, experience and accomplishment are given below:

Strengths:
 Communication skills and networking ability
 Strong attention to detail
 Creativity and writing skills
 Can work at stress environment

Experience:

Though I am fresher I have organized few events in my university. I was also actively involved
in my university Business club positioned as Communications Chair. I have publicized club
activities through email, social media and the club website.

Accomplishments:

 I got award for developing an idea How Fish wastages (gut, liver, skin) can used as
cosmetics which is totally good for Skin.
 I also got award for organizing several events successfully.

As I mentioned above I am good at communication and creative idea generation I think these two
strength is required for any FMCG company for their marketing section. My experience in
organizing event and worked as communication chair is also my advantage for organizing
promotional campaign as well as work in stress condition. My accomplishment is also indicates
about my desire of New product development and idea generation which might be great benefit
for an employer.

I think my communication skills give me a competitive advantage over other people.

4. What is your ultimate career goal?

Ans: As discussed above about my interest and strength, I want to build my career in marketing
section. My ultimate career goal is to be Chief Marketing officer.
