Monthly Show Guidelines

Your assistance in following these guidelines will help to ensure a positive experience.

• All artwork must be “family appropriate”, no sexual, bloody or violent content allowed.
• All artwork must be framed and/or finished around the edge and ready to hang with
appropriate wire to hold piece.
• Artwork will be placed by the artist in the designated spaces (on the floor). Artwork will be
hung, in a timely manner, by City of Keller Staff.
• Artists must deliver pieces between 8:00 am and 10:00 am on the business day before the
first day of the show, or prior with coordination through the City, and pieces may not be
removed or replaced without prior consent and coordination of the City.
• All artwork must be picked up by 5:00 p.m. on the last day of show as determined by the
City.
• Any piece that may cause a safety issue to employees or citizens, as determined by city staff,
will not be allowed. (i.e. too heavy)
• Any artwork sold requires a 20% purchase price fee paid to the City of Keller for
designation to the Public Arts Fund. The purchase price fee is waived for non-profit
organizations located within the City of Keller and KISD students and employees.
• A “Waiver of Liability” form must be signed by the artist and submitted with this form.
• Keller Arts Board has final approval of all art exhibits submitted.
• Receptions will be held on the second Thursday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
• All personal advertising by the artist will be at the artist’s expense. City Staff will put show
information on the City’s website based on information provided by the artist.
• Subject matter may not include copyrighted materials or characters.

Waiver of Liability Form

For and in consideration of my participation in the Keller Public Arts Program, or any activity
associated therewith, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I agree to release
the City of Keller, Texas, and its elected and appointed officials, employees, agents or volunteers (the
“City”) from and against all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands in respect of death, loss,
injury or damage to my person or property whatsoever including, but not limited to damage, theft or
destruction of any works of art located on City property, caused, arising out of or in connection with
my taking part in the event and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or
occasioned by any act or failure to act, including without limitation, negligence of the City

Further, I assume all liability of any non-participants who accompany me. I understand that I am an
independent vendor for all purposes including workers compensation, and am not an employee of the
City, or other local sponsors, and their agents, representatives, and employees, and as such they are
not responsible for any damages to property, injury or death of myself and any employee for whom I
am responsible which may occur while acting as a vendor. This agreement is binding on me, my
heirs, executors and administrators.
