TOPIC 1: Level of Effectiveness of the Baguio City Government Comprehensive Approaches

to the City, the compliance of the people and in fighting Covid-19

Individuals - people who live in Baguio City
Groups - a selected available barangay officials, policemen and/or soldiers that can be found
antime at anyplace
Actions - the way on what approaches the officials are doing, why do they comply it and based
on the actions done by both officials and the residents how does it affect the cases of Covid-19
in the Baguio City.
Resources - social media, news articles and online articles, journals and books

We are always been interested and passionate in studying issues that are happening in our
society and also because studying this kind of topic let the researchers able to understand and/or
enhance our knowledge regarding the social and political issue that is happening in our country
and on what are the changes that affected the peoples way of living.

individuals and the available online resources as a reference and/or additional data for the study
and also by doing this study, it will not waste the given time and effort of the researchers.

The topic is needed to be study as this requires to understand and evaluate the level of
effectiveness of the Baguio City government comprehensive approaches to the City, to the
compliance of the people and in fighting Covid-19 and to know if the policy that was
implemented is slowing and/or decreasing the spread of corona-virus and if it is possible to be
adopted to other places in the Philippines that has the high number of infected individuals.
IMPORTANCE/SOCIAL RELEVANCE: Highly Satisfied
This will greatly help the government officials as to what actions and/or method they will gonna
do or policy that will implement to stop the increasing number of infected individuals and the
impending death rate and also by having a certain design to folllow for this kind of problem, the
government can now focus on the other ways to solve the other issue especially the economy of
the Philippines and the high rate of unemployed people and those who don’t have basic
necessities such as food, water, shelter and clothes.
NOVELTY/UNIQUENESS OF THE PROBLEM: Highly Satisfied
In terms of understanding and evaluating Level of Effectiveness of the Baguio City Government
Comprehensive Approaches to the City, to the compliance of the people and in fighting
Covid-19 there is still no research and/or investigation done to determine its effectiveness hence
this research will be done in an in-depth study and understanding to know its level of
effectiveness and also to determine whether the way how the Baguio City Government take
action and regulate the City in fighting the Covid-19 is adoptable or not and what are the
possible way or needed for further improvement in this approaches.
FEASIBILITY: Highly Satisfied
The process to gather data can be done through an online survey, that will be posted on some
group pages in Baguio City, face-to-face and online (message/text or video call) in-depth
interviews for the selected respondents, and online research, in this way, the researchers can be
able to get enough data applicable for the topic.
ETHICAL: Highly Satisfied
Before the respondent answer the survey and conduct a face-to-face and online (message/text or
video call) in-depth interviews, researcher will be asking first for the respondent’s consent,
whether or not they want to disclose their information, so that in this way the researcher will
give the respondent authority to what they want and respect the decision they will make.

TOPIC 2: The Juxtoposition of the level of the usefullness of the jeepney and taxi in the Baguio
City during the Covid-19 outbreak

Groups - a selected available jeepney and taxi driver
Actions - what are corresponding actions, rules and/or policy implemented by the government
and are done by the jeepney and taxi driver to ensure the safety of the commuter against the
covid-19

Being a political science students, we are always ineterested on what are the problems in the
society and on how we are able to come up a solution whithin it to help elevate the problem of
the government, people and the country.

precautionary rules and/or policy they will suggest and implement that would satifactorily help
the drivers and the commuters be safe and be covid-free.

This research will help the commuters to know what is best for them to ride and based on the
corresponding level of the safety, demand, environmental friendliness and economic
productivity of the jeepney and taxi the government can be able to formulate a new plan or law
that will protect the safety of the commuters and the drivers and also against the virus.
NOVELTY/UNIQUENESS OF THE PROBLEM: Highly Satisfied
During the Covid-19 outbreak in the Philippines, Baguio City is also one of the affected place
not just in health of the residents but also their livelihood and one in those many voices are the
drivers of taxi and most especially the jeepney because of a small amount of money they gained
even though they work from dawn till the sun set, hence this research will be in an indepth study
and based on the given result the government can be able to make a plan that will both satisfy
the commuters and drivers (jeepney & taxi) and also this research will gives an enough
awareness to the commuters and to the drivers as to what they should do to ensure both of their
safety and help to lessen the case of covid-19 in the Baguio City.
