OPERATING OUTSIDE OTON PUBLIC MARKET”

Dear Honorable Mayor,

Hoping you are safe and well.

We know that each one of us suffered tremendously in this time of pandemic. We all
find ways in order to survive the calamity brought about by COVID 19. However, we,
the MEAT and FISH VENDORS, suffered not only losses everyday but also inequality
and unfair competition due to rise of illegal, unlicensed and illegitimate business
establishments and stalls outside Public Market.

We regularly and religiously pay our taxes, fees and permits. On the contrary, these
illegal, unlicensed and illegitimate businesses outside Public Market paid nothing.

We comply to all rules and regulations from the local government but the latter are
unsupervised and unregulated.

We are selling our products based on the prices approved by the concerned government
entity while they sell their products in a very uncompetitive price.

We cannot further endure this unfortunate situation. These illegal, unlicensed and
illegitimate businesses outside Public Market immensely damaging us lawful vendors.

We appeal to your highly respectable office to support us in this battle. We, who
conduct our business operations legally, deserve more protection from the municipal
government and the law.

We are requesting for a fair and reasonable trade for all of us. These illegal, unlicensed
and illegitimate businesses should be regulated and monitored by the municipal
government, otherwise, they should be shutdown.

We are deeply hoping for your kindest consideration and immediate action.
