GUIDELINES/PROTOCOL FOR COMPUTER BASED HOURLY TEST-1

Candidates are hereby advised to meticulously follow the Instructions for Computer-Based
Hourly test. Please read all the instructions carefully before starting your test.

1. Login Details like username and password for each test will be unique and will be
available in “MYDATESHEET TAB” on UIMS at least 24 hours before the test.
2. Students are advised to keep checking the UIMS for all updates.

3. For taking the test, Mandatory requirements:


 A Personal Computer/Laptop/ Smart phone**.
 The Online Test is a proctored test, so the whole activity of the candidate will be recorded.
 Candidates appearing for test are strongly advised to place the laptop/computer/ Smart
phone upfront and ensure that your photograph is clearly visible (in case of non-visibility
of photograph, test may stop or result may be withheld).

 Candidates Using Smartphone ca also download the AMCAT Application from


respective application store (Available in both Android/ IOS).
 A Webcam should be in operational condition in a laptop/Computer/Mobile. Under no
condition obstruction in front of the Camera be allowed.
 Microphone of the laptop should be in working condition, simple earphones may be
connected in case microphone not working or not available (earphones should NOT be
plugged into the ears otherwise auto proctoring may disqualify you).
 For the smooth online examination uninterrupted Internet connectivity (throughout the
testing session, preferably 1 MBPS) will be required.
 IN ANY CASE STUDENT SHOULD NOT CLICK ON “SUBMIT TEST” IN
BETWEEN THE TEST (TEST ONCE SUBMITED WILL NOT BE RESUMED)
 If candidate test gets stuck at any point, there is a ‘Resume Incomplete Test’ option that
will enable the candidate to restart the test at the same place where he/she got stuck. Please
ensure that candidate Resume Test within 1 hour of your test being stopped.
 Browser/OS Requirements: This Assessment is supported by the below listed
Browsers/Versions only.
Google Chrome (version 40 and above)
Mozilla Firefox (version 40 and above)
 It supports all types of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, MAC, IOS. In case the
candidate is appearing for the examination using Windows 8, make sure you use the latest
version and disable all the popup/notifications.
4. Procedure for the Examination
 For login to access exam portal always USE PROVIDED URL, USERNAME,
PASSWORD.
 For taking the exam, type the URL https://amcatcampus.aspiring.com/ in the address bar
of the Web Browser (Also available on My datesheet Tab on UIMS).
 Enter the USERNAME and PASSWORD given to you on UIMS “My Datesheet
Tab”.

 PLEASE KEEP YOUR VALID University ID Card/ ADHAAR CARD/ PAN CARD
HANDY AS YOU WILL HAVE TO SHOW ANY OF THESE ALONG WITH YOUR
FACE TO THE SYSTEM CAMERA AT THE START OF THE TEST. (Both should be
clearly visible)
 Do not copy paste the Username and Password. Always type in.
 You will be automatically prompted to allow your Camera to be enabled,
 Please ACCEPT the request. This will prompt a message ‘You are Under Surveillance'.
Your camera is now enabled.
 Fill the registration form.
 Click on Start Test and keep a note of your EXAM ID as mentioned on the top.
 To answer a question, click on Confirm and then Next to submit your answer.
 Do not click on Module Exit or Test Exit. Once test submitted will not be allowed to
resume.
 Complete the test in one go, no breaks allowed in-between.
 There is no negative marking.
 Maximum Time duration for the test will be 1 hour only.
 Total questions in the test will be 40 each question having different weightages. (Annexure -1
may be referred for the format of the test)
 This is a timed test; it is essential to keep track of time while answering the questions.
 No candidate will be allowed to login into the test after 20 minutes of the start of test
timing in any case and the candidate will be marked absent.
 Candidates appearing for the test should not be submit the test before half time

5. To Familiarize the students with the online Proctored testing platform a demo test has
been scheduled on 15th Sept, 2020 from 4 PM to 5 PM (Above said procedure will be
followed for the test, students are advised to make full use of the opportunity)

6. DO NOT TRY TO TAKE SCREENSHOT OF THE TEST, ELSE YOUR TEST

WILL BE LOCKED & YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE TEST.

7. PLEASE DISABLE ALL POP-UPS BEFORE STARTING THE TEST.

8. Ensure your face be clearly visible in the webcam. Do not wear Face mask cap, scarf,

goggles/ sunglasses, etc.

9. Please ensure that no one else is sitting with you during the short or entire duration of the

test otherwise you may be disqualified for the test. It is advisable that during the entire
time of the examination, you be alone in a room.

10. For students taking the test on mobile, please ensure that you do not attend calls while

taking the test and your face is always in the front camera frame.

11. Each test will be based on MCQ based questions with only one correct answer, students will

be required to tick only one right option.

12. An online support team for the exams has been created

Step 1: GO to https://assess.myamcat.com/troubleshooting.php

Step 2: Please go through the Frequently Asked Questions. If your queries are
answered in F&Q, please read the response and follow the same. If you are still unable
to take the test or your query is not listed in FAQs, click on “LIVE CHAT”.

Step 3: Please enter your email ID registered with the test and your username
(for that particular test) & click on “CHAT WITH US” to chat with a support
executive
13. Candidates are advised not to indulge in any unwanted activity during the conduct of examination,
it may lead to UMC case, If any other candidate is found appearing for the test the case will be
of unfair means. In this case UMC Committee will be liable to take final decision as per
University rules.

Note: Ensure that while you open the online examination link no other tab/window/link be
opened simultaneously.
