Windows Remote Desktop Connection User Guide

This document provides a 3-step guide for connecting to a remote desktop using Windows Remote Desktop Connection. Windows Remote Desktop Connection User Guide

1. Make sure that you are successfully connected the DLSU-VPN (see VPN User Guide).

2. On your keyboard, press windows + r keys ( ) to launch Run window.

3. On the Run window, type mstsc to launch Remote Desktop window. Click OK.
4. On the Remote Desktop Connection window, type the IP address of the remote (Office)
desktop. Click Connect.

5. Enter the username and password that you use in your Office PC. Click OK.
6. Please do not forget to Shutdown the remote (Office) PC after use.

Note: Shutdown guide for remote (Office) PC running Windows XP.


1. Open Run
2. Type shutdown \s\f in Open: field. Click OK.
