Box Culvert Installation Guide

Small box culverts are designed and manufactured according to Australian standards to support live loads from traffic. They should be lifted only at provided lifting points and stored on timber bearers with legs facing down. Installation involves constructing base slabs and placing precast culvert units with mortar and granular materials, ensuring gaps between units are less than 25mm. Backfill should be added around the culverts in 150mm layers and compacted according to specifications.
