Re: Quality Management System, 2014 Edition EHR Certification Criteria

RWHC is submitting the following language to satisfy the 2014 EHR Certification Criteria DTR
170.314(g)(4-1) Quality Management System: Identify the use of a QMS for each capability
for which certification is sought.

Rev 20-Dec-2012 Additions

Per ONC ruling: “We encourage EHR technology developers to choose an established
QMS, but developers are not required to do so, and may use either a modified version of
an established CMS, or an entirely “home grown” QMS. We also clarify that we have no
expectation that there will be detailed documentation of historical QMS or their
absence. As specified above, we believe that the documentation of the current status of
QMS in and EHR technology development organization is sufficient.”

In response to this test requirement, RWHC attests that no QMS was used in any certification
sought for these criteria:
