Q.1 Draw up a list of effectiveness criteria you would use to measure the performance of:

(a) a Fast-Food Restaurant and, (3)

(b) a School of Business. (3)

Q.2 What are the key contingency variables that Type-3 theorists have studied? Briefly
explain these variable's impact on organizational structure's dimensions. (6)

Q.3 What is Chandler's thesis? What criticisms can you direct at Chandler's research? (6)

Q.4 Discuss the "Model for managing organizational Changes" with all steps and
implementation tactics to manage changes. (7)

Q.5 What factors determines the appropriate authority and control structure in: (3*3=9)

(a) A Research and Development Laboratory,

(b) A large Department Store, and

(c) A small Manufacturing Company ?
