Distribution Board Specification: PT Fuji SMBE Indonesia
Distribution Board Specification: PT Fuji SMBE Indonesia
Distribution board shall be constructed in compliance with Form 2 to IEC 61439 with
segregation for busbar section and functional unit section.
Distribution board shall have minimum degree of protection IP42 for indoor location,
IP55 for outdoor location and IP44 for indoor location but exposed to potential risk of water
leakage e.g, kitchen, vicinity of water pipe, pump room, basement carparks.
Distribution board shall be wall mounted with steel anchor bolt. The use of wooden or
plastic anchor bolt shall not be accepted. Engineers shall otherwise specify flush mounted for
particular applications.
Frame, rib, door and cover shall be made of electro-galvanised sheet steel of minimum
thickness 1.2 mm unless otherwise specified.
Distribution board shall be finished with one coat of anti-rust primer and two coats of
automated annealing oven epoxy powder.
Doors and covers shall have a key lock with provision facilities for sealing to prevent
forced access and unauthorized usage. A special stainless steel hinge shall allow opening of 180
degree for fully access to internal structures and components as well.
All doors shall be fitted with polyurethane PU gasket foam using in-situ pouring process
on panel. The use of adhesive material is strictly not allowed. The continuous foam with no
joints is to ensure good IP rating.
The ventilation system with vermin proof shall be properly designed for air passage flow
and heat dissipation without jeopardize the integrity of dust and water degree protection.
Knock-outs holes shall be available at top and bottom for cable entry. Contractor shall
provide an approved cable gland and accessories for cable penetrating in order to maintain IP
rating of enclosures.
Miniature circuit breakers and other DIN rail mounted components shall be mounted on
aluminium profile DIN rail. The chromed DIN rail shall not be used without prior acceptance by
Engineers.
For small current carrying up to 100A, bakelite insulated (B.I) connector which have
been tested by recognized testing authority can be employed as main distribution points to
outgoing circuit breaker.
In the case of beyond 100A, main busbar must be provided. Busbar shall be hard drawn,
high conductivity copper and shall be tinned to prevent galvanic corrosion. The copper
composition of busbar shall be not less than 99.99% and the electrical conductivity of busbar
shall be 98%.
Individual terminal for each circuit shall be provided on the neutral bars and earth bars.
There is no circumstance that one terminal accommodate more than one wire unless they are
dedicated design for this purpose.
The distribution cable shall be color coded accordingly to the latest local regulation for
easy identification and prevention of wrong phase connection. The nominal voltage of the cable
shall be 450V/750V and its maximum conductor operating temperature shall be not less than
1050C.
Hole opening where cable gone through shall be sealed with grommet or equivalent
approved means to prevent any accidently cutting of cable insulated PVC layer.
Distribution boards and all circuit breakers and the associated cable shall be clearly
labeled in description for circuit number, current rating or its application.
Single line diagram indicating the equipment served shall be laminated and located inside
drawing pocket to each distribution board.
Additional space shall be allocated in each distribution board for future increase of the
number of circuit ways by at least 20%.
