Course Description
Whether you are looking to learn the basic foundations of obstetrical
ultrasound or you want to solidify your knowledge. This very informative and
interactive course is exactly what you need. We will go over the basics of
obstetrical ultrasound with plenty of ultrasound examples of optimal vs non-
optimal images and a step by step guide on how to obtain these images. The
course will also cover normal first, second, and third trimester anatomy. The
correct way to perform Doppler studies and amniotic fluid index and much
more are included with many neat tricks along the way. Remember plenty of
images and videos. The small course size will allow for interaction between
attendees and our expert faculty. A must-attend for any medical professionals
who plans to perform obstetrical ultrasound

Lecture Saturday 10/07/2020 : Basic physics of ultrasound

Lecture Objective:
Attendees will gain the didactic foundation to establish the basic
physics of ultrasound. This standard of practice will further improve
the understanding of the physics of ultrasound and apply the
knowledge to enhance our ability to perform real-time sonography.
• History of development of ultrasound
• It is essential to know the basics?
• Definition of ultrasound
• Types of ultrasound
• The characteristics of a sound wave
• How is an image formed on the monitor?
• Beam Formation
• Resolutions
• Sound with tissue interaction.
Lecture Saturday 10/17/2020: Consistency is Key! Sonographic Knobology
Lecture Objective:
Attendees will gain the didactic foundation to establish a consistent standard
of practice in real time imaging. This standard of practice will further improve
the quality of images obtained for official, interpretable studies in imaging
archive systems as part of the patient’s record.
