Reflection paper on Construction Safety

As said on the video the video the safety is the number one priority of the companies so
why is safety important?

Safety is very important for each and every employee in the industry because all the
workers desire to work in a safe and protected atmosphere. Health and safety is the key
factor for all the industries in order to promote the wellness of both employees and
employers. It is a duty and moral responsibility of the company to look after the
employee’s protection. Each and every person who leaves his home for his work in the
morning should come back to his home in evening in good health. Have you ever
imagined that your loved one will never be returning home? Or you get a call that
he/she is in the hospital due to some incident occurred? These thoughts only get us
goose bumps. This is the only reason that why it is important to create a safe working
environment.
These days, workplace health and safety procedures are important for the well-being of
both employees and employers because human loss is immeasurable and intolerable.
As, such loss or injuries can employ major loss to the families.
All the industries do have safety risks but the management should devote their time to
think and strategize the things that what safety precautions are required in their
company to make sure that their workers are safe enough for all the time. Also, the
management should confirm with all the workers related to their daily work and
comfort. So, that the management can take the same step according to the desired
aspects of workers. This helps them in improving the productivity and quality of the
products and lot more.

construction site or the industry as a whole is not the cause of immediate danger to the
public around a construction site, or the workers at a construction site, as well as
making sure that the finished product of construction meets required safety standards.

zero accidents, which would be a high standard of safety. Safety requirements are put in
place in order to realize both safety targets and indicators. These requirements include
policies, systems and procedures through which performance measures can be
identified. Safety indicators and targets are somehow similar, they both express a
certain standard hoped to be achieved.
Training of employees also forms an integral part of safety management. This is because
it is important for workers to know ways of contributing to their own safety.
Organizations can host yearly training sessions to educate employees or workers on
safety management procedures. In these forums workers can also be informed of their
right to a safe working environment. This would mean they would be aware of the right
avenues to be used in case of contravention of the rules on safety by senior
management.

Safety management is very important in any organization. There has to be a coherent


safety management system for the proper management of safety. To summarize, an
ideal safety management system would include a management plan and safety
promotion. It would also include management of data information whereby safety
policies and regulations are made known. There is also identification and management
of risks and hazards. This means that structures are put in place to spot areas of
potential risk and thereafter plans for management of risk are setup to close up the
areas of potential risk.

Safety management systems also include reporting of hazards. There must also be
investigation of accidents and programs to oversee safety and training of employees on
management of safety. Safety management also entails notifying workers or personnel
of any major changes in the workplace especially in operational procedures. These are
the salient features of any safety management system, which should be carefully
implemented, if the workplace is to be labeled safe.
