CHAPTER III

INTERNSHIP TRAINING OBJECTIVES

This chapter covers the narration of experiences of the trainee at

Development Bank of the Philippines. This includes observations, participation,

interaction, challenges, problems met, solutions offered and other related

activities.

3.1 Narrative Experiences

As part of the curriculum, an internship related to the student's program

course is needed to have a first experience to a real business environment.

The trainee decided to take her On-The-Job training at Development Bank

of the Philippines. The whole internship experience lasted for 350 hours. She has

been appointed in the Cash and Accounting Division where she had learned

many things about DBP and the possible ups and downs of accounting field. She

also discovered and accumulated facts about the nature of job that she might

encounter in the future.

She personally came and applied to Development Bank of the Philippines.

The trainee sent her resume and inquired about the internship program. After an

evaluation process, she was acknowledged by the company as a trainee. The

staff told her to complete the needed requirements and they asked her about the

possible date to start the training. They gave her ample time to accomplish the

required requirements.
