Metaphysics and Freedom

Striving for Truth Amidst Worldly Tumult

Cody O’Connor, C.S.

“You may know when first Truth leads by the fewness and faithfulness of its followers. Thus it is
that the march of time bears onward freedom’s banner. The powers of this world will fight, and will
command their sentinels not to let truth pass the guard until it subscribes to their systems; but
Science, heeding not the pointed bayonet, marches on. There is always some tumult, but there is a
rallying to truth’s standard.” (S+H 225:5-13).

Introduction

The fear of sin, sickness and death is all there is to the illusion of power the
controllers have over you. Let the slogan of Science, that "Life is not in or of matter"
reach and illuminate your individual being - for what authority hath evil to kill that
which a material bullet cannot reach?

Life is Mind, and is therefore not subject to the flesh. If we are to practically
demonstrate freedom, we must transcend the belief that man is material, and lives
and dies according to physical laws. Without an honest and open-minded approach
and application of metaphysics, we are all doomed to oppression. If matter,
however, is a lie, then the power in that lie resides entirely in our belief and faith in
it. With metaphysics, man is saved

As we free ourselves from a pantheistic basis of finite, temporal, material

lives, we shall begin to demonstrate the truth of individual, deathless being, and no
other path will progress us from the shackles of tyranny. Only then will these
immortal words of biblical prophecy be fulfilled - "Ye shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free." (John 8:32).

Science and Health is the book you have been searching for. The Science of
Mind is our Savior, and I shall continue to preach the Word of Science unto the end.
Do not be deceived, the warfare is between Spirit and matter, and you cannot expect
the news media to inform you of this.

-Masks are a Symbol-

3 Mask, n. 1 that which conceals the face

2. that which disguises

3. a festive entertainment of dancing or other diversions, in which the company all

6 wear masks; a masquerade – Shak

5. a dramatic performance written in tragic style, without attention to rules or

probability

9 Disguise, v.t. 1 to conceal by an unusual habit, or mask. Men sometimes disguise

themselves for the purpose of committing crimes without danger of detection

2. to hide by a counterfeit appearance; to cloak by a false show, by false language, or

12 a false manner; as, to disguise anger, sentiments, or intentions

Disguise, n. 2 a false appearance; a counterfeit show; an artificial or assumed

appearance intended to deceive the beholder

15 Deceive, v.t. 1 to mislead the mind; to cause to err; to cause to believe what is false,
or disbelieve what is true; to impose on; to delude

2. to beguile; to cheat

18 4. to take from; to rob

Face, n. 8 State of confrontation

9. Confidence; boldness

21 10. Presence

Face, v.t. 1. To meet in front; to oppose with firmness; to resist.

~4~
Occult, a. [to conceal] 1. Hidden from the eye or understanding; invisible; secret;
unknown; undiscovered; undetected

3 2. the occult sciences are magic, necromancy

Opposer, n. an antagonist; an adversary; an enemy

(in Scripture, Satan is called the adversary)

6 Satanic, a. 1. Extremely malicious or wicked

Definition, n. in lexicography, an explanation of the signification of a word or term,

or of what a word is understood to express.

9 Signification, n. the act of making known, or of communicating ideas to another by

signs or by words

Symbol, n. 1 the sign or representation of any moral thing by the images or

12 properties of natural things

Thus, mask, defined as that which conceals the face, has its obvious literal meaning
15 based on physical appearance, but also implies a symbolic meaning, representing a
metaphysical occurrence.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
18 powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:12).

To wear a mask is to involve yourself in a collective habit or ritual that’s both literal
21 [physical] and symbolic [mental].

Today, May 1st, the governor of Maine has declared mask wearing in public to be a
requirement. May 1st is Beltane, the last of a 13 day festival, ritual to Baal;
24 Moloch/Nimrod; Saturn (Satan) where masked participants make a fire sacrifice.

~5~
Symbolically, and negatively, fire represents fear; remorse; lust; hatred; destruction
(S+H 586:13).

3 The deception is to sacrifice our freedom to these wicked propensities.

Better is it to bear the cross than to wear the mask, for “where the spirit of the Lord
is, there is liberty.” (II Cor. 3:17).

6 The corona or crown of the tyrant is total submission of its subjects.

“We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts. 5:29).

"The march of mind and of honest investigation will bring the hour when the people
9 will chain, with fetters of some sort, the growing occultism of this period. The
present apathy as to the tendency of certain active yet unseen mental agencies will
finally be shocked into another extreme mortal mood, - into human indignation; for
12 one extreme follows another." (S+H 570:1-7).

-Morality-

15 Relative morality sways to and fro in the winds of circumstance untethered to

the immutably fixed Principle of absolute Truth. The Moral Science taught by Jesus
in his Sermon on the Mount was not a human invention or theological opinion, but
18 his understanding of the eternal law of Life, Love, Truth. "Heaven and earth shall
pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matt. 24:35).

Unwilling to love our enemies, we are nothing more than self-righteous

21 hypocrites - for where hate is harbored, moral superiority is a fraud. Shaming or
cursing those clouded in ignorance is to cloud one's own reason in resentment.
Anger is not an educator, but love's lesson demonstrated in action is enough to
24 repeal ignorance with timeless wisdom.

~6~
-Presence of Infinity-

3 Allness can only exist as oneness. Infinity is indivisible. Division is a

suppositional concept derived from a finite material premise. Cause cannot be finite
or material because it would have a beginning and an end. For cause to be Cause it
6 must be eternal, as a temporal cause would be a myth. If there was a time, a
moment, where Cause did not exist, it never existed. "I AM therefore IT IS"
expresses the undeniable presence of divine Mind, God.

9 -Mind is all Substance-

Do you believe in matter? If so, how can you prove it? Is it not true that sense
12 testimony must be cognized by and therefore as mind? How could mind be aware of
its opposite, and how could matter be self-existent with no mind to take cognizance
of it? It must be mind which believes in matter, when in reality all is Mind.

15

-Baal’s Gates-

18 Physical laws can tell you the consequence of dropping an apple, but only
moral law can tell you the consequence of wrong action. Matter has no conscience,
not being the premise or product of Soul. Spirit is not subject to cycles of decay and
21 death, because Life never is death and vice versa.

The personal computer is the electricity powered hypnotic material medium

machine of modern necromancy, but the electronic empire's mortal matrix is
24 illusory. Consumer merchandise cannot control without consent. The Gates of hell
are Windows, but individual man need not subscribe to fantasy for sale. Like the
bomb, black science will self-destruct, and evil will secure its own doom.

~7~
-Independence Day-
3

The mask is a foreshadowing of the mark of the beast, a signification that the
corruption inevitable to materialistic theories which provide the basis of medical
6 practice have swollen to a state of overt tyranny, enforced by social pressure and
immoral governmental mandates. The fear centered deception of bio-security
presently wages war on health freedom.

9 Shall we obey matter or Mind, error or Truth, evil or good, quackery or

Science, oppression or liberty? Our answer shall cast weight on the side of which
outcome we would see manifest. In this final battle of time and eternity, one cannot
12 serve two masters.

On this Independence day, let us reflect on the veritable fact that it is God
who made us free, and from no other Principle do we derive our natural rights.
15 Materia medica and the state are enmity against God.

The time to break from the hypnotic efforts of the media is now, and concede
no more freedom to the organizations of evil. It's not too late, but let us not cave to
18 apathy. This war is on us, but as peaceful warriors for Truth, it's inevitable that the
unity of good will be manifest and the illusive empire of evil will return to the dust
from whence it came.

21

~8~
-The False Justice of Materia Medica-

3 If disease is an outlaw, why then are we treated as though the criminal is us?
Lockdowns are for prisoners and masks are for bandits. The answer is that
according to materia medica and hygiene, it’s your fault for not believing enough in
6 their pathology and practicing enough of their methodology. Simply put, if you don’t
treat yourself like a criminal in the first instance, you’ll be punished like one in the
second, and you’ll deserve it!

9 “Think less of the enactments of mortal mind, and you will sooner grasp
man’s God-given dominion. You must understand your way out of human theories
relating to health, or you will never believe that you are quite free from some
12 ailment. The harmony and immortality of man will never be reached without
understanding that Mind is not in matter. Let us banish sickness as an outlaw, and
abide by the rule of perpetual harmony, - God’s law. It is man’s moral right to annul
15 an unjust sentence, a sentence never inflicted by divine authority.” (S+H 381:20-30).

As usual, Science and Health corroborates my analysis of the subject

perfectly. Many of us grew up in homes where medical tyranny was a domestic issue
18 fueled by media fears and doctor shows on television. If you were sick it was your
fault. You must not have washed your hands enough or taken your pathogen
preventing placebo pellet.

21 We wondered where in the world was to be found Love and Justice. Was God
absent? All that seemed to surround us was a deathly machine. This hypnotically
learned system of psychic turmoil has now come out from the shadows and into the
24 streets and marketplace.

It is time to banish the quackery we misidentify as science and medicine that

perpetuates what it purports to prevent so we may instead learn man’s perfection
27 made in God’s image. I implore with a sense of urgency that freedom loving activists

~9~
investigate Science and Health so that we may come to a deeper understanding of
what in the world is going on and how exactly we are to heal it.

3 Remember, state oppression has been in collaboration with medical tyranny

and what I call black science for a long time. Look no further than Nazi eugenics if
you don’t believe what I’m saying as unadulterated history speaks for itself.

6 -Christianity and Libertarianism-

As a former libertarian and alcoholic, it was my inclination to sin that

9 prevented me from correctly practicing its principle, but in coming to Christianity, I
found the strength and ability to overcome much sin and further found the teaching
to be the “pearl of great price” (Mat. 13:46) and upon finding it, sold everything I
12 had (libertarianism) and bought it. Now I would be instructed by a higher moral
basis and clearer sense of Principle.

The common error of libertarianism is that with its highest sense of Principle
15 being nonaggression, adherents are seldom discouraged from indulging in animal
passions of lust and debauchery restrained only by mutual consent.

Freewill (or human will) which is tolerant of or finds pleasure in sin is a slave
18 to it. “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” (John 8:34). This state is
certainly not freedom, which Webster defines as exemption from slavery and
servitude.

21 In making nonviolent selfishness its ideal, libertarianism must of necessity

make an enemy of coercion, which is good, but also self-abnegation, which
inevitably leads to a cold and calculating character, wanting of love and compassion.

24 With self-interest at heart, what is present for an individual to restrain

themselves from willfully utilizing means of mental wickedness such as emotional
manipulation, financial coercion, and even hypnotism to attain a dubious consent

~ 10 ~
from their victim? Until we learn that physical violence is evil in but its most crude
and obvious form, these mental crimes will continue, preying off our unwitting
3 ignorance of them.

We lose ourselves in the service of sin and find ourselves in the way of
righteousness. “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for
6 my sake shall find it.” (Mat. 10:39). Selfishness is suicidal, but in love is the light of
life, and the truth that makes free. “Where the spirit of the Lord is, there’s liberty.”
(II Cor. 3:17). This is true liberty.

9 Might it be stated that this is not to say that there are no libertarians or
voluntaryists who don’t demonstrate a higher moral understanding than others, but
nonaggression ought to be the base, not the pinnacle of ethics. Nonaggression
12 implies self-defense, but how is violence justifiable simply on the grounds of
revenge? No matter the circumstance, returning evil for evil is never good.

An eye for an eye is the covenant of the Old Testament, which was annulled
15 in place of the principle of nonresistance by Jesus in the new. “Ye have heard that it
hath been said an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye
resist not evil: But whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the
18 other also.” (Mat. 5:38-9).

He continues to instruct us that we love our enemies, and for good reason.
Who we hate will continue to have that power over us. The State can steal our
21 money, but they can only steal our peace if we allow it.

The liberal replaces God with government, the libertarian – God and
government with self, but the Christian truly finds himself in service of God.
24 Further, the Christian Anarchist sees the violence of the State and knows that the
Sermon on the Mount is the only remedy, and the Christian Scientist understands
that man governed by God is self-governed, but man governed not by God is
27 governed by sin.

~ 11 ~
In the words of Bob Dylan, ‘you gotta’ serve somebody.’ May we discover more and
more how we are to practically follow in the way of perfect Principle – God; Love.

-…And Justice for All-

6 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come
to destroy, but to fulfil.” (Mat. 5:17).

What Jesus proceeds to do in the Sermon on the Mount is correct the errors of
9 the Old Testament that would erect stipulations to the Hebrew Decalogue, making
the law contradictory instead of final and must therefore be “a house divided
against itself.” (Mat. 12:25).

12 The Ten Commandments (Exod. 20) do not say ‘Thou shalt not kill…unless,’
it says ‘Thou shalt not kill.’ An exemption for self-defense is not made therein. In
Exodus 21, however, we see retribution and punitive justice appear as a means of
15 settling debts, though the glaring incompatibility here is as marked as that of
Genesis i and ii.

Returning evil for evil as suggested in “eye for eye, tooth for tooth.” (Exod.
18 21:24) cannot cooperate with ‘Thou shalt not kill.’ Law must be relative or absolute,
but it cannot be both. Jesus reconciles these problems throughout his Sermon on the
Mount, which is a complete revelation of Justice, not at odds with the Ten
21 Commandments, but sets straight all error of the Old Testament.

Punitive retribution (revenge) is abolished in place of forgiveness, and self-

defense is abolished in place of nonresistance. Debt is settled in forgiveness, but
24 doubled when returned to sender. Squaring our balance is the object of law and thus
our symbol for Justice shall no longer be a scale, but the city which “lieth
foursquare.” (Rev. 21:16).

~ 12 ~
Jesus, in his law practice applies the metaphysical medicine which brings healing to
those in the world that are sick in the wages of sin. “For the wages of sin is death;
3 but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23).

-The Straight and Narrow-

6 "Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life." (Mat. 7:14),

Straight, a. 1. Right, in a mathematical sense.

Mathematics, n. The science of quantity. Pure mathematics considers quantity

9 abstractly, without relation to matter. It is the peculiar excellence of mathematics
that its principles are demonstrable.

Quantity, n. 7. In logic, a general conception.

12 Conception, n. 3. Apprehension of any thing by the mind

4. The power of conceiving ideas

6. Knowledge

15 Thus we may understand "strait" as used by Jesus in Matthew as a demonstrably

correct idea of Principle.

-To my Brothers and Sisters who are Living With Resentment-

3 Is the working man a slave to industry by force or by choice? Is it by desire or

necessity? In answering, we cannot presume that food or shelter are necessities,
because it's the desire to live that we choose to seek these things out. Neither can
6 we presume that procuring money is a necessary method of obtaining food or
shelter, as this can be accomplished on one’s own.

It must be, then, that we chose to work for money as a means to fulfill our
9 material desires because we prefer the convenience of the systematic division of
labor that industrialism provides, as well as its competition derived innovation, to
that of self-reliance.

12 Reluctant as we may be, it must be admitted that we are slaves to our

desires, yet call them necessities. We are bound to industry because we want the
fruits of its production and are willing to accept exploitation in exchange for
15 convenience.

If we believe ourselves to be coerced victims of Capitalism, then the Marxist

envisioning of a violent seizing of the means of production might almost seem
18 justifiable as self-defense, but if we got here by voluntary choice and concession,
then we most certainly have no right.

This means violent revolution is out of the question as a moral or reasonable

21 approach. and non-participation stands as the only acceptable alternative, else we
accept Capitalism by our own choosing.

Positive change can occur only by choice, not by force. This change must
24 begin from within by a shift from material desire to spiritual love as our basis of
thought and motivation.

~ 14 ~
Marx argues that happiness cannot be achieved until material needs (desires)
are met, but Jesus declares, "seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
3 righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Mat. 6:33). Happiness
is no one else's choice but your own, and requires no material preconditions. You
can do this today if you so choose.

-Practical Precepts-

9 "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be
condemned." (Mat. 12:37).

This is in disregard to what another may have said or done to provoke you to
12 anger. You are responsible for your own words and actions and to blame the cause
of your evil deed on another is no justification for the evil deed you performed in
return for theirs. Two wrongs don't make a right any more in morality than it would
15 in mathematics.

"Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault
between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother."
18 (Mat. 18:15).

If someone insults or injures you, don't inform others behind their back. This
would be to injure their reputation as a perceived restitution for the original
21 offense. Thus, gossip is returning evil for evil, rather than blessing them that curse
you.

Our aim ought not to be that of defeating our enemies, but persuading them
24 to reform if they be in error, thus losing an enemy and gaining a friend. How else
are we to see the brotherhood of man as one family? Therefore, correct and forgive,
and let not the passions be inflamed by personal offense

~ 15 ~
-Idea and Ideology-

3 Ideology comes from the root - to speak, and, an idea, which, to be clear, is to
theorize or speculate about an idea, but is not a presentation of the idea itself.
Ideology conceptualizes an ideal beyond one’s own practical understanding. Because
6 of this, the believer speaks of an idea, without demonstrating its Principle.

The true idea, or the idea of Truth, is the product of its Principle, and without
understanding Principle, it would be impossible to demonstrate its idea.

9 Realizing Principle is one with realizing yourself as the idea of Principle, thus
practically and scientifically demonstrating the truth of Truth.

Ideology is defined by Webster as - the doctrine that ideas are derived

12 exclusively through sensation. This doctrine would have two principles - matter and
mind, with matter informing and holding dominance over mind, rewarding matter
with both power and intelligence.

15 There is one Principle because there is one Truth. The idea of Truth cannot
be manifested or caused by error. Truth, Mind, has no idea of error, matter, and
matter has no idea of Mind. Mind's idea is of itself.

18 "Let us accept Science, relinquish all theories based on sense-testimony, give

up imperfect models and illusive ideals; and so let us have one God, one Mind, and
that one perfect, producing His own models of excellence." (S+H 249:1-4).

21

24

~ 16 ~
-Three Measures, One Whole-
"The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three
3 measures of meal, till the whole was leavened." (Mat. 13:33).

"It has been said, and truly, that Christianity must be Science, and Science
must be Christianity, else one or the other is false and useless; but neither is
6 unimportant or untrue, and they are alike in demonstration. This proves the one to
be identical with the other." (S+H 135:21-26).

"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32).

9 Christianity is not of ritual or creed, but in goodness of deed.

Science is not of organization or materiality, but in the Principle of morality.

Anarchy is not of violence or hate, but in Love and peace.

12 They all point to the same moral practice: which is Christian, scientific, and free.

A true Anarchist is a Christian

A true Christian is an Anarchist

15 A true Scientist is an Anarchist

A true Christian is a Scientist

A Christian Scientist is a Christian Anarchist

18 The three terms (correctly understood) are synonymous

The revolutionist may believe Marx is the way, the churchgoer may believe that
dogma is the truth, and the physical scientist may believe matter holds the key to
21 understanding Life, but when all misconceptions are corrected, the true idea of all
will be discovered, and it will be understood to be one idea.

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life." (John 14:6).

~ 17 ~
-Dualist Politics-

3 Hating hate is acknowledging and giving power and reality to hate in your
own mind, thus strengthening your enemy. Returning evil for evil does the opposite
of what it sets out to do. Rather than finding good, only more evil comes. It is in fact
6 doubled when revenge is employed. This is how Marxism and Fascism are the yin-
yang of perpetuated violence, each side believing they should "do evil, that good
may come." (Rom. 3:8).

9 So long as we don't strive to love our enemies and bless them that curse us,
the left-right paradigm will continue. Eastern philosophy would call this natural
balance, but the Christian understands that evil is absolutely unnatural. "And God
12 saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." (Gen. 1:31).

He who scoffs at the idea of God believes human power, evil, to be the only
power there is, and if only they held that supposed power, then they could use evil
15 for good. The suppositional balance of finite powers are a self-destructive illusion,
for there can be no order from chaos, only oppression and tyranny, but the peaceful
omnipotence of absolute good will shine through the smoke of battle, and the meek
18 "shall inherit the earth." (Mat. 5:5).

-True Politics-

21 With human politics, our conversation descends from Principle to policy. If

the Science of politics is not the government of God; Principle, then it would be the
myth of human power fighting for its supposed survival tooth-and-nail.

24 Material so-called forces are self-defeating, for omnipotence is immaterial.

Peace is the prize of giving up error for good. Our work ought not to vainly attempt

~ 18 ~
to control others, but to self-govern from one infinite Principle. This is true politics
and the only government of righteousness.

3 Man must have his Principle, else he is the blind leading the blind, and
Principle is not in person, as infinity cannot be contained to a finite form. Therefore,
government is not the human organization which does appear, but man's illimitable
6 and immutable divine Principle which eye hath not seen. Justice, then, is not an
issue of enforcement, but the universal way of emancipation.

-A Scientific Analysis of the error of Marxist ideology in Opposition to the

9 Correct Principle and Practice of Christianity-

The final statement of statist philosophy in its ideological approximation of

12 perfect order will be a counterfeit of anarchism, however, because its arrival was by
the means of dictatorial organization and coercion, it will be missing the key moral
element necessary for happiness - choice. Thus, its order is still chaos, accepting
15 violence as a necessity. True order is spontaneous, in other words free, not forced.

The reasoning back of my conclusions are as follows: I think freedom is

naturally the ideal object for all in life, though the disagreement comes as the
18 question of what freedom means (freedom from responsibility or freedom from
bondage) and what principle is required to meet the means (which is its end).

From what I've gathered in reading some of the literature, Marxist ideology
21 concludes (falsely) that work is bondage, and that freedom from responsibility
(work) is freedom from bondage.

Work itself is not evil. The determinate factor is what you are working for -
24 Principle correctly understood, which is Life, or its supposititious opposite, death.
Life is harmony; peace, and death is violence; sin.

~ 19 ~
In the attempt to free themselves from responsibility in effect, Marxists must
first free themselves from responsibility to the law which Principle upholds - the
3 law of Life.

Therefore, theft and violence are acceptable, even necessary to free man from
theft and violence. If this sounds illogical it's because it is. You cannot free yourself
6 from evil work by working evil, and expect good will come of this. To achieve
harmony; peace, one must work for peace, peacefully.

Work not done in accord with Principle cannot produce what Principle is -
9 Life; Love; Truth, because an error in premise begets error in conclusion.

This can all be summed up as believing in good while working evil.

Understanding good, we would have no trouble practicing it. Blind belief and faith
12 are not practical, and are therefore not enough.

With a touch of irony, the church makes this same mistake, teaching
salvation by faith alone, identifying good works as an evil, and anyone who teaches
15 it a heretic.

Jesus, however, speaks of good actions, and to be doers of the Word:

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of
18 thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bringeth forth good fruit." (Mat. 7:16).

21 "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Mat. 7:20).

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Mat. 7:21).

24 The lesson is that if you work evil then you are evil, despite what you present
as an appearance of faith in good. If good is not being practiced (as opposed to

~ 20 ~
preached) outwardly, then it is not understood inwardly. Again, belief and faith are
not practical; demonstrable.

3 What does the church, state, and Marxism have in common? They steal to
share and kill to live. Is it any wonder, then, that education from these three places
never include the true teaching of Christianity, but an ignorant or willful perversion
6 of it?

These institutions and ideologies are what crucified Jesus, and would do it
again to protect their way of life, which in fact is the way of death.

9 As we emerge from matter to Mind, physical force will disappear in place of

hypnotic force. In place of brutal coercion will be the black art of deception. The
institutions of violence may disappear in form as the mind is sufficiently infected,
12 and it will be thought that a destruction of the symbol (the buildings) will change
things. Thus, Marxism will present a visibly stateless society operating under a
statist paradigm mentally when its victims are so hypnotized as to believe that
15 slavery is freedom.

We will share by necessity, not by choice, and will continue to suffer from this
belief, this belief that evil is necessary so that good may come. Stolen goods are no
18 longer good because of how they were obtained. A guilty conscience would rob you of
enjoyment in eating a stolen pie. You could divorce yourself from your conscience to
eat the pie guilt free, but in making such a bold move you would still lose the
21 enjoyment of eating it because you would only steal if you were eating for survival,
not enjoyment.

Christian charity deprives us not of the food or the joy, and our conscience
24 stays in tact. This is done by seeking the joy first and the food will come, because joy
comes from giving, not stealing

"Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what
ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than
3 meat, and the body than raiment?” (Mat. 6:25).

"For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek
ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be
6 added unto you." (Mat. 6:33).

Christianity is both anarchist and scientific in Principle and practice, and in

its attempt to steal Science and anarchism from Christianity, Marxist ideology loses
9 both. Building its house on sand, it is illogical in theory and immoral in practice.

I have not analyzed Fascism in this paper, not because it's any less evil than
Marxism, but because its modes and methods are so overt and obvious that I need
12 not point them out here, but a future writing on the interplay between these two
ideologies and how they're both contained in the same system of statist thinking (on
the supposed necessity of violence) will likely prove useful.

15 Drug addiction is often the sick soil through which the corrupt seed of
ideology is planted. Seeking pleasure and fulfillment in matter instead of leading a
good life robs us of our natural capacity for happiness and tends toward misery and
18 destruction. Believing that a drug frees you from responsibility and provides you
with happiness is exactly how ideology works, thus one bad habit leads to another.

Both are examples of mystical faith in the materialist dream that evil is good.
21 New Age quackery deceived me in the name of science and spirituality, leading me
towards psychedelic experimentation that left me vulnerable to be deceived by
Marxism in the name of science and anarchism. If I had known at the time that my
24 hate for Christianity was in fact my disdain for the church, I may have saved myself
from years of shameful existence in such hopeless error.

~ 22 ~
It wasn't until I read Science and Health that I was persuaded by logic to re-
investigate the Bible, not as supernatural superstition and dogma, but as a
3 practical guide to life.

It is my honest hope that the writing I do has a positive effect on anyone who
should come by them, and that you find yourself not led into temptation, but
6 delivered from evil.

-Method and Meaning-

9 "By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see,
and shall not perceive." (Mat. 13:14).

Words have no intrinsic meaning in and of themselves but that which we

12 have of them. The thought back of the word is more important than the word.

If you and I have two different meanings for the same word, then you will
likely conform my communication to your definition rather than directly perceive
15 mine, and an understanding of the intended meaning is lost.

Demonstrating the idea (understanding) of immutable Principle (Life) must

be shown by example to be scientific, as an explanation is open to interpretation by
18 the communicant and their own understanding of the meaning of Life or lack
thereof.

A parable is defined by Webster as, a fable or allegorical representation of

21 something real in life or nature, from which a moral is drawn for instruction.

Thus a parable is an explained representation of Principle in action, through

which its idea (moral; meaning) can be understood. A parable is one step removed
24 from a direct presentation of Principle in practice, which is demonstration.

~ 23 ~
This is why the Bible or Science and Health are not important intrinsically,
but as objects they represent a living spiritual idea governed by an immutable
3 Principle. A misinterpretation of the object does not change the intended meaning
because the true idea itself has an unchanging Principle. Principle; Mind is not in
any material representation of it.

6 You have to get the right idea yourself. No one can do the work for you. You
can tell someone you understand their explanation of the principle of mathematics,
but if you can't show them by solving a problem yourself, then you do not
9 understand. Mathematics are as metaphysically scientific as morality, and
therefore the requirement of understanding for demonstration is the same.

-The Force-
12

The conception of 'life-force' is the mystical belief that Life is based on force,
which is the basis of all statist ideology and eastern philosophy. The balance of
15 dueling powers represented by the yin-yang is equally represented in politics by the
party system. It is evident that this balance is indeed perpetuated discord, as
harmony is never the manifestation of violence. Oneness of Principle is requisite to
18 realize peace in effect.

-Voting and Violence-

21 Violent revolution - The cyclical rebirth of the belief that force is necessary to
maintain life and balance, though its life is death and its balance is discord.

Election - The cyclical rebirth of the belief that force is necessary to maintain life
24 and balance, though its life is death and its balance is discord.

~ 24 ~
What is the difference between rioting and voting? Direct violence and
indirect violence by substituting a representative for yourself.

3 Voting is not peaceful because the violence is removed from personal

enactment, but a means of feeling morally absolved of guilt by silently consenting to
a perpetuation of violence in a form represented outside of one's self.

6 Hitler being elected does not give him a right to command his supposed
subjects, nor do the subjects have a right to claim innocence in 'just following
orders'. If the people elect a leader who commands them to use violence and they do,
9 who is more responsible? The master or servant?

Who crucified Jesus? Was it the orthodox priests, the money offered to Judas,
Judas himself, the mob who Pilate gave the choice to, Pilate himself, Peter in not
12 speaking up, or the men who actually put him on the cross? Is not Pilate less guilty
than the mob?

Mob rule does not go away just because the mob has a representative, and
15 the mob isn't without responsibility because they elect another man to command yet
another to commit the act of violence. The violence was in the people first, was it
not?

18 If we argue that government is evil, though lesser or greater in its chosen

form, and then admit that government represents and serves us then what does
that make us? Is it not evil serving itself, the lesser being the representative
21 (regardless of party) and the greater being the people? Which is greater, the servant
or master?

-Is Sickness True?-

3 If sickness is any part of Truth, then it must be eternal, and any effort to
eradicate it would be a vain attempt. For Truth to be eternal it cannot include any
element that dies.

6 It must follow, then, that sickness is opposite to Truth, outside of its infinite
sphere. The presence of error is no presence at all, and its supposed existence can
only be destroyed by showing forth the allness of its opposite.

9 I do not use the term hoax, because the term has been politically employed to
cast all sorts of skeptics and thinkers into a category they most definitely don't
belong in. The honest seeker of Truth is hardly deceived into joining the ranks of
12 any sect, cult, or party.

The enigmatic phenomena we appear to be witness to is merely an unreality

with no real believer. To identify as a material being is to identify as that which
15 never existed, for being is not, nor could be material.

If man is matter and gets sick and dies due to this condition, then why seek a
material remedy for what you say matter caused? The belief in matter, and the fear
18 of it, is the disease, and the cure can only be its opposite, Mind.

Feeling is not fact. Science cannot be without consistent logic, so a concept of

Principle that is material is a house built on sand that will fall from basing its
21 substance on mutable temporality.

If Science is not Mind and Mind alone, then it is not absolute, and unworthy
of the name. Until we learn to equate sensual materialism with mythology, we will
24 understand nothing of Truth.

"Health is not a condition of matter, but of Mind; nor can the material senses
bear reliable testimony on the subject of health. The Science of Mind-healing shows

~ 26 ~
it to be impossible for aught but Mind to testify truly or to exhibit the real status of
man. Therefore the divine Principle of Science, reversing the testimony of the
3 physical senses, reveals man as harmoniously existent in Truth, which is the only
basis of health; and thus Science denies all disease, heals the sick, overthrows false
evidence, and refutes materialistic logic." (S+H 120:15-24).

-Various Notebook Entries-

3 -Consistency

Christian Science is Love and Logos. Logic is not at odds with love because
logical and moral consistency are both governed by the same Principle. Truth's
6 perfect logic is Love's perfect goodness.

Purpose projects pebbles

9 Reason's ripples reciprocate

12 -Substance

The physical does not change into the moral, it is realized that the physical
already is the moral, reinterpreted from a higher spiritual view. Reality is realized
15 when misperception is corrected by understanding. There is no overlapping -
creation symbolizes one immutable substance.

-Scientific Prayer-
18

Forgiveness demonstrates spiritual strength in meekness and the

understanding of good's omnipresence. Evil is punished by the suffering of its own
21 sowing, and destroyed by the law of Love, the natural order of unchanging harmony
which justice maintains.

~ 28 ~
Self-righteous hate is hypocrisy and human will's attempt to correct error
with error. "Cast the beam out of thine own eye." Revenge is not righteousness.
3 Wrong is never right, and right is not demonstrated in action unless understood in
thought.

Thus, the work of thought; prayer, is in self-correction, not in a supernatural

6 manipulation of external appearances. Prayer without Principle is faith without
understanding, and mysticism is as impractical as it is unscientific.

"The Kingdom of God is within you." Cause is Mind, and must be found to be
9 perfect before it can be manifest humanly. Attacking physical phenomena alone can
afford no more than a temporary fix, rather than striking error at the root, which
always begins supposititiously as incorrect thinking.

12 Resentment holds temporal divisions in ones thought, but divine thought is

Oneness manifest. Love is all-inclusive because it is all, leaving no place outside of
its infinite scope. Hate and fear have no foothold in eternity because Truth does not
15 know them.

-Translation of a Parable-

18 "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places,
seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return to my house from
whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
21 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than
himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse
than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation." (Matt. 12:43-
24 45).

~ 29 ~
Absolutely speaking, man is the understanding of God. His identity is his
Principle, not of his own creation. Relatively, however, mortal man is a collection of
3 contradictory material beliefs which he identifies with and as.

To remove these beliefs by any means apart from the discovery of Truth
would leave mortal mind an empty vessel without the discernment to resist new
6 beliefs from entering in to fill the void.

-The Insolent Son-

9 There's a screaming child, stomping around with rebellion and mischief. The
father, feeling robbed of peace grows angry. He stifles this insurrection by smiting
the child on the rear. The boy falls into a quiet submission, yet the father still finds
12 himself robbed of peace, only now because of guilt.

The father, in seeking order by violence becomes not a master of his kin, but
a slave to his evil deed, now dependent on the forgiveness of his victim for
15 redemption and peace.

The child forgave the father and all seemed well, though the next day there
arose another bout of anger and insolence. This time, the father forgave the child for
18 his ignorance, and in losing his anger he found his peace, learning that it could only
be robbed of him if he robbed himself by accepting the anger of another as his own.

Seeing clearly himself he was able to guide the child to harmony and
21 freedom, by means of his newfound wisdom.

The way, the truth, and the life indicate one Principle, Love. This is our
Father-Mother which art in heaven, and if we are not the servant of Truth , we
24 must surely be the servant of our evil deeds. Abiding in Principle, our deeds would
be good, as Principle; God is good.

~ 30 ~
Are not the mortal father and child both the insolent son, returning offence
for offence, until they discover the unity of good upon awakening to the natural law
3 of their universal Principle, Love?

-Present Reality-

6 Material sense isn’t real because it isn’t eternal. The mental state termed
“hell” is not a permanent condition. It’s a temporal supposititious hallucination, but
not reality. Reality is permanent in that it’s unchanging good, forever in harmony
9 with itself, and imbibing no need or desire to taste death, resting in the all and
onlyness of Life.

Sin has a fantastic so-called existence from the standpoint of Science, and
12 good is miraculous to material eyes, for they see, yet do not perceive. Error cannot
understand Truth, yet error reversed is Truth understood.

Sound logic cannot be overthrown by doubt or ignorance. We say man is

15 matter and lives and dies, but that which lives never dies and that which dies never
lives. If matter dies, then it’s already dead and never had any life in it or to it. If
matter lives, then it never dies, yet material sense testimony would argue that
18 decay and death is a reality, contradicting its own purported premise.

A correct premise should not lead to a contradictory conclusion. If Life is at

all a reality, it must not have anything at all to do with matter, but could only be its
21 opposite – Mind. Life and death cannot both be real, and one cannot become the
other, being opposites. If Life is Mind and Truth, then death is matter and error.
Error cannot be as real as Truth because error is the supposed lie about Truth,
24 wholly dependent on Truth’s self-existence, which it apparently inverts.

~ 31 ~
At the infinite point of omnipresent here, where there appears to be sin,
sickness and death, is health, holiness and Life. Where there appears to be matter
3 is Mind, and where there appears to be error is Truth.

-Potent Treatment-

6 If Mind is anywhere, Mind is everywhere. There’s nowhere that Truth isn’t,

and because of this, there’s nowhere that error is. Matter is nothing, and matter
can’t get sick because nothing is neither healthy nor sick. That which has no life,
9 substance, or intelligence can make no conditions. Mind being all can’t help but be
all that health is, because there is no other Principle, power, or presence to
interrupt or interfere with its perpetual harmony with itself. The idea of Mind
12 includes no discords or disruptions having no contradictions either in cause or
effect.

There is no sin, sickness, or death, because there is no evil source or cause.

15 God; good is All-in-all and Life; Soul, produces nothing unlike itself. Fear cannot
influence thought because it is outside of Mind; Love, but God is infinity and all, so
that which claims reality outside of Truth is error; nothing, and has no entity or
18 voice.

Matter cannot communicate with Mind. Nothing cannot inform omniscient

Spirit. Life is not at the mercy of death. Life is eternally and immutably itself, and
21 death never was, having no life.

-The Spirit of Anarchism-

3 "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's; and unto God the things that are
God's." (Matt. 22:21).

On the surface, literally interpreted, this is about paying taxes to avoid

6 unnecessary conflict with human government to continue leading a moral life
yourself. Deeper than this, however, we can discern the spiritual impulse behind
the same words when we compare them to a precept which he had laid down in the
9 Sermon on the Mount that applies perfectly to the question of taxes arising later.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves break through and steal...For where your treasure is, there will
12 your heart be also." (Matt. 6:19-20).

Jesus recognizes that tax collection is theft, and therefore a trespass, but
admonishes us to see wealth as spiritual value, which cannot be stolen, rather than
15 monetary value, which can be.

Spiritual good is not in or of matter; money, so from a metaphysical

standpoint, the value of material treasure is nothing. If spiritual good is all value
18 and material good is none, then the logical conclusion of Jesus's words, spiritually
understood, is rendered: "Give nothing to nothing, and give all to All."

To the uninspired thought, many have claimed this verse to justify their own
21 belief in the authority of human rulers, but in truth, Jesus exemplifies the very
spirit of anarchism.

-Evil is Not Power-

3 There is no physical force because there is no matter and no mortal mind to

believe in matter. Divine Mind doesn’t believe, it just is, and there can be no doubt
about self-existent Truth. Mortal mind has no subject or material object, as
6 supposition cannot think, create, do, or be. God; Mind is all presence, Being, self-
existence.
Violence is neither cause nor effect, but nothingness. Love and Love’s idea is
9 All and infinitely One. The divine government is the divine order of Science. There
is no human government. God makes man free and oppression and tyranny are as
unreal as mortal mind. Mind is immortal, free of error, being Truth. Error is
12 bondage, but error is not real, so bondage is not real.
Unreality cannot form concepts. Intelligence is the only Creator, which is
good alone, never including error; evil. Divine government is perpetual harmony as
15 God is not at war with itself.

-Advancing Self-government-

18 Every corrupt institution is made obsolete only by practically demonstrating

the true idea which the material organization counterfeits. Mortal models are not
annihilated but transformed in proportion to our realization of omnipresent
21 Principle governing us aright.

Thus, corruption is made obsolete, while justice, liberty, health, security,

remain intact and enlarged. Institution; establishment (the foundation of a
24 permanent state) is spiritually redeemed as the seed of self-government begins to
blossom.

The permanent state in the order of Science is infinite, immutable Mind,

27 while human government stands supposititiously as a material crutch until we

~ 34 ~
emerge from the finite and temporal to the infinite and eternal. Man as the idea of
God; Soul, includes universe. If man is subjected to, rather than having dominion
3 over the universe, we are left with effect governing effect, rendering us powerless to
a false belief.

Astrology, with its position that we are governed by the stars makes the same
6 blunder that appears with human government when it claims that man is governed
by man. This house divided against itself inverts self-governing Principle and must
eventually yield to Truth.

9 We must learn that evil is not only unnecessary, but unreal, and that good is
not powerless, but the only true power there is, and this inevitable progression will
naturally lead us out of positions outgrown. To forcibly remove our material crutch
12 before we are prepared to walk in the way of Love would be a grave mistake.

Physicists observe material phenomena to construct their theories and

models, but the metaphysician, communing with Cause, is needed to advance the
15 age and unfold the treasures of Life eternal.

-Co-operation Versus Oneness-

18 co-operation, n. The act of working together, to one end.

operator, n. He or that which operates; he or that which produces an effect

Working in harmony by the same means and for the same end indicates a
21 sharing of one idea. If two ideas are alike, they must be one, reflecting the same
Principle. Oneness, not togetherness is the means to one end. Hence, one operator
and operation; one cause and effect; one Principle and idea; infinity individualized
24 infinitely.

~ 35 ~
Co-operating opposites must compete, otherwise it's one operation. Mind and
matter do not co-operate. One must be Truth, the other calling itself Truth
3 supposititiously. The operator cannot be unlike its operation. Creative Principle is
either matter or Mind and cannot produce its opposite. Togetherness; duality, and
oneness; unity are utterly opposed.

6 The slogan "alone together" supposes more than one oneness, a co-operation
of Truth and error. One is infinity and man is the infinite individualization of
infinity; Principle. Harmony is oneness realized, and has nothing to do with co-
9 operation or competition.

-Television or True Vision-

12 1. co, prefix. A combining form from L. cum, with, and signifying with, together,
jointly, mutually, at the same time

2. co, prefix. In mathematics, an abbreviation of Latin complementum, that which

15 completes

1. vide. [L. of videre, to see.] see; a word indicating reference to something stated
elsewhere

18 2 video, adj. [L. I see]

Combining the first prefix - co, with the first suffix - vide we produce a word
which means: to watch together, specifically a remote appearance. Television
21 literally means to view from a distance, so it is reasonable to conclude that our first
definiteion of this word is: "to watch television together."

Combining the second prefix - co, with the second suffix - video we produce a
24 word which means: that which completes vision; that which allows one to say, "I
see."

~ 36 ~
The word isn't going away but we can choose how we define it. We give it all the
meaning it has.

3 Demonstrate: no there, they, or them. I or Us is all, alone, infinitely one.

Temporality cannot claim reality
