people” this was a quotation from Narendra Modi, an Indian politician.


Being a leader is not all about the wits, sometimes, we should know the difference between a
person who are willing to take responsibility and those who don’t.
A pleasant morning to all of us
I am Aliana Julianne Ponce, a grade 11 student who is under the academic track, STEM
strand.
Being infront of you guys today, is very unimaginable. Before, I was just a nobody that
doubts all of my capabilities, fears of speaking infront of a big crowd, and lastly a nobody that
lacks self confidence; but I think I can overcome this little by little with all your help fellow
students.
Self-doubt is really a huge hindrance as a student, but I think all of us can overcome this by
helping each other to speak up and show what we can do.
I am running as a student leader to show you guys that anyone who claims to be nobody
because they lack self confidence, is not really a nobody. I am living proof that all of us has the
capacity to own self actualization and to bring out someone inside their shells to show their abilities
and talents.
If someone is trying hard to overcome his or her fears, we should not be toxic, instead, let us
help them to be themselves.
Our party believes that we can further improve our school, if we help the students improve
themselves to be better and disciplined for self development as well as for the school development,
in this case not only the SSG officers can make a difference for the school but the students as a
whole. All of us can make a change.
If ever that I will win and be your vice president for SSG this school year, I promise to serve
all of you with all my might, and here are some of the platforms that I want to implement for my
term:
1. Maintenance of existing rules and regulations of the previous administration,
2. “Libreng Print kapalit ng Plastic Bottles”,
(Ang mga plastic bottles na maiipon ay ipapatimbang at ang pera na makukuha ay ipambibili ng ink
para sa printer)
3. Stress Management Symposium,
4. Anti-Vandalism Project, and lastly
5. Participate in the National Greening Program (NGP) and other environment-related activities.
Its all up to you if you want to see change, vote for the leaders where you can see a potential
to impact lives of an individual by their own little and unique ways.
Again, I am Aliana Julianne Ponce, “once a nobody, but today a somebody that can make a
difference in my own little way”
