Warehouse Management System
As we know warehouses requires a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for managing inventory
space, material handling, and equipment & transportation resources in real time to assure accuracy,
time management and visibility of order status throughout the supply chain. Where as in Imtiaz being a
biggest retail chain giant and surprisingly there is no Warehouse Management System in their
warehouses and the whole warehouses are working manually on the basis of Excel dash boarding.

WMS Impact:

WMS impact the performance of warehouse and assure efficient fulfillments, delivery, visibility, and
responsiveness. Whereas Imtiaz warehouses are working extraordinary as their management are
performing efficiently without having WMS which is quite good and appreciating.

Whereas WMS ensures material handling, data collection, supply chain execution systems and labor
management whereas Imtiaz is ensuring material handling, data collection, supply chain execution
systems and labor management manually through excel dash boarding whereas data of receiving goods
from vendors are managed through barcoding/RFID scanner through which products sorting and listing
is being managed and inventory is developed through lists whereas importing and invoicing are
managed through Sap.
