Hard Reset On All Verizon Phones

HARD RESET ON ALL VERIZON PHONES:

HTC Incredible

Please note that all data will be deleted from the HTC DROID Incredible as a result of this procedure. This process
does NOT delete data stored on the microSD card. We recommend backing up all of your personal data before
proceeding.

1. Turn the power off. If your HTC DROID Incredible is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Hold the Power button until the display turns on
4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Press and release the Power button to select
7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO. If you selected YES,
all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC DROID Incredible. Once the wipe
is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

CASIO G’ZONE RAVINE:

1. From idle mode, press the Center Select Key MENU > Settings & Tools > press the Center Select Key
OK.
2. Press   PHONE SETTINGS >   SECURITY
3. Enter the four-digit Lock Code.
4. Press Restore Phone.
5. After reading the warning message that appears, select Yes > press the Center Select Key OK.
6. After reading the message that appears, select Yes > press the Center Select Key OK.
7. Enter the four-digit Lock Code.
8. The handset will turn off and then back on again automatically.Phone Settings,

LG PHONES:
COSMOS:

1. From the main screen, select Menu.


2. Highlight Settings & Tools and select OK.
3. Select Phone Settings and select OK.
4. Select Security and select OK.
5. Enter phone lock code. (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number)
6. Highlight Restore Phone and select OK.
7. Select OK at the warning message.
8. Enter the phone lock code again.

OCTANE:

1. From the home screen, select Menu (OK).


2. Select Settings & Tools.
3. Select Phone Settings.
4. Select Security.
5. Type the Security Code. Usually this is set to the last 4 digits of your mobile phone number unless you
changed it.
6. Select Restore Phone.
7. Press OK.
8. Enter the Restore Phone Code. Again the last 4 digits of you mobile phone number is usually what it’s set
to. The phone will then take a few minutes to finish the process and you have successfully factory reset the
LG Octane.

Cosmos Touch:

Ally:

1. Power the device off. If it’s frozen, pull the battery, then place it back in the device.

2. Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons simultaneously.

3. Follow the setup instructions on the screen.

Accolade

1. From the main screen, select Menu.

2. Select Settings & Tools.

3. Select Phone Settings.

4. Select Security.

5. Enter the Phone Lock Code. (Usually the last 4 digits in your phone number.)

6. Select Restore Phone.

7. Press OK to confirm the factory hard reset.

8. Enter the Phone Lock Code.

Clout:

1. From the main screen, press Menu.


2. Scroll to Settings & Tools, press OK.

3. Scroll to Phone Settings, press OK.

4. Scroll to Security, press OK.

5. Enter Lock Code ???? displays enter the 4 digit lock code (default: last 4 digits of phone number).

6. Scroll to Reset Default, press OK.

Vortex:

Option 1 – Using the Android OS menus. If you can access the menus, you can perform a hard reset from within the
Android OS software.

1. From the Home screen, press Menu.


2. Tap the Settings button.
3. Select Privacy.
4. Tap the Factory data reset option.
5. Select Reset.
6. Tap Erase everything.
7. The LG Vortex will then hard reset and may take a few minutes to complete.

Option 2 – Using the hardware buttons. If the LG Vortex is frozen or unresponsive and you can’t access the menus
within the Android OS to perform a hard reset, you will need to use this option that utilizes the hardware buttons on
the device.

1. Power the phone off. If it won’t turn off, pull the battery from the device.
2. Press and hold Volume Down, Home, and the Power buttons simultaneously.
3. Wait for about 10 seconds until the screen lights up and the phone starts to boot, then release all three
buttons.
4. The LG Vortex will then go through the hard reset process. Wait a few minutes and the phone should reset
with factory default settings and data loaded into memory.

SD Card Format - -- In cases where you don’t want items remaining on the SD card, you can either swap the SD
card with another and keep the one with your data on it, or you can format it:

1. From the Home screen, tap Menu.


2. Select Settings.
3. Select SD card & phone storage.
4. Tap Unmount SD card.
5. Tap Format SD card.
6. Select Erase Everything.
7. The SD card will then be formatted.

MOTOROLA PHONES:
Droid2

1. Turn the Droid 2 off. If it’s frozen and you cannot turn it off, pull and replace the battery.
2. Open the keyboard and press the X key while pressing and holding Power. The device will power on. Keep
holding the buttons down until a yellow triangle appears.
3. Press the Search key on the keyboard (magnifying glass).
4. Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the side of the phone to select the Wipe data factory
reset option. Use the Camera key to confirm it.
5. Tap wipe data/factory reset then tap OK.
6. Highlight reboot system now is highlighted then tap OK.

Droid2 Global – Same as above


Droid R2D2 - First, try this:
1. From the main home screen, tap menu
2. Tap Settings, then Privacy
3. Tap Factory data reset
4. Tap Reset phone
5. Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm
6. If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:
7. Power down the DROID 2 by holding the power button and then selecting Power Off
8. Hold the X key on the keyboard and turn the power back on, keep holding down the X key until you see a
yellow triangle icon
9. Now close the slider and hold down the Volume Up button, then press the Camera button while still
holding volume up
10. A menu will appear and one of the choices will be "wipe data/factory reset" -- use the direction pad on they
keyboard to select this option
11. Scroll down using the direction pad to the "yes" option and select it with the d-pad select key
12. All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Motorola DROID R2-D2. Once the
wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

DroidX
1. Turn the phone off.
2. Hold the Power and Home buttons down for about 5 seconds.
3. A screen with an exclamation will appear. Tap the Search key.
4. Scroll down to factory reset using the Volume Down button.
5. Confirm the selection.
6. Select Yes — delete all user data then tap OK.
7. The Droid X will then complete the hard reset.

Citrus
Hardware method

1. With the phone off, press and hold Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously until
the notification screen appears.
2. Press the End button (the button located on the lower right side of the phone).
3. Press Volume down key to highlight the wipe data / factory reset selection.
4. Press and hold the Camera button.
5. Continue holding Camera, then press the Volume Down button to select Yes.
6. Release the Camera button.
7. When the option appears, press the Camera button again to select reboot system now.

Software/Android OS method

1. Open the Settings app.


2. Select Privacy.
3. Choose Factory data reset.
4. Choose Reset device.
5. Enter the password to your Citrus if prompted.
6. Select Erase everything.
7. The Motorola Citrus will then finish the hard reset process.
Droid Pro
1. Power off the device. If it’s frozen, pull the battery.
2. Press and hold the R and M keys and the Power button until you see a screen with a yellow exclamation
mark.
3. Once the yellow exclamation mark appears, release the keys and press the @ key.
4. Use the Volume Up and Volume down buttons to select wipe data/factory reset.
5. Choose Yes – delete all user data.
6. Your Droid Pro should now go through the process of a hard reset.

RAZR Re: Razr V3M on Verizon - Need to DELETE ALL CONTACTS

1. Open your phone up and go to “Settings”


2. Next go to the selection for “Initial Setup”
3. Next go to the selection for “Master Clear”
4. Then select to confirm the option.
5. Now enter the security code which should be “000000”
6. Finally press select or ok and the phone will reset itself to the factory condition

 If Verizon stripped the master reset or “Initial Setup” option out of the Motorola RAZR/KRZR, you’ll have to
erase your personal data out of the phone the hard way when it comes time to recycle it:
1. Enter the following on your keypad: CLR, 048263*
2. A screen saying “Opcode” will appear.
3. Enter 18* and click the center button (the one in the middle of the four arrows).
4. When it says “Field 1,” enter 0 and click the center button.
5. Wait.
6. After a few seconds, you’ll see a screen that says “Success.” Select “Back.”
7. Enter 18* and click the center button.
8. When it says “Field 1,” enter 1 and click the center button.
9. Wait again.
10. After a few seconds, you’ll again see a screen that says “Success.” Select “Back.”
11. Hit the hang up button and power down your phone.
12. This should wipe it Clean to OEM specs.

Motorola Q phones - True master/hard reset, restoring it to factory defaults/state.

1. Be sure to have at least 75% battery on your Motorola Q


2. Be sure that you have backed up all data on the device since this will wipe the device clean
3. Power off the Motorola Q
4. Power on the Motorola Q
5. Once you see the initial carrier screen, hold the center button on the navigation pad.
6. Keep it held until you get a “Master Reset?” screen.
7. Click the left softkey for “Yes” and the phone will wipe and reload the OS from ROM
2. BE SURE NOT TO REMOVE THE BATTERY WHEN YOU DO THIS or you may ‘brick’ your phone.

Motorola Defy Soft reset - Crash recovery - Restarting Motorola Defy ALL data will be deleted!

1. From the main home screen, tap menu


2. Tap Settings, then Privacy
3. Tap Factory data reset
4. Tap Reset phone
5. Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm

OR Defy hard reset with buttons / keys when you cannot log in to DEFY android forgotten gesture LOCK 100%
solved forgotten Google account for Motorola DEFY
1. Turn the power off. When Motorola DEFY is frozen, take out the battery and reinsert it.
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on

When you see the little DROID just press the LOWER RIGHT of the touch screen! (TAP HERE 3. on image)
4. From the menu: Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Press and release the Power button
7. Press Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO or press the touch screen to select, then the lower LEFT
corner OK to hard reset Defy.

All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Motorola DEFY. Once the wipe is complete, the
phone will reboot to its factory default state.

Press Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO or press the touch screen to select, then the lower LEFT
corner OK to hard reset Defy.
DEFY will reboot after selection, then it will take some time to DEFY RESETTING itself.

SAMSUNG PHONES:
Haven

1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
2. Select Settings (6)
3. Select Phone Settings (2)
4. Select Advanced Settings (6)
5. Select Reset Phone (6)
6. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm resetting the handset to factory default settings
7. Note the message displayed then press the left soft key for OK
8. Enter the lock code (0000 or last four digits of your number) then press the left soft key for OK

Intensity 2

1. While in standby mode, press OK for Menu


2. Select Settings & Tools (9)
3. Select Phone Settings (8)
4. Select Security (8)
5. Enter the lock code, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been
changed, then press OK
6. Select Restore Phone (5)
7. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys
8. Press OK to confirm resetting the handset
9. Press OK at the re-program the phone screen
10. Enter the lock code again, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has
been changed
11. Press OK to confirm restoring the handset to the factory default settings

Convoy
 From the main screen, select Menu.
 Select Settings & Tools.
 Select Phone Settings.
 Select Security.
 Enter the Phone Lock Code (usually the last 4 digits of  your phone number).
 Select Restore Phone.
 Select Yes.
 Press OK.
 Enter the Phone Lock Code.

Renown

1. While in standby mode, press the OK button for Menu


2. Select Settings & Tools (9)
3. Select Phone Settings (6)
4. Select Security (9)
5. Enter the lock code, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been changed,
then press OK
6. Select Restore Phone (5)
7. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys
8. Press the OK button to confirm resetting the handset
9. Press the OK button at the re-program the phone screen
10. Enter the lock code again, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been
changed, then press OK
11. Press the OK button to confirm restoring the handset to the factory default settings

Continuum First, try this:

1. From the main home screen, tap menu


2. Tap Settings, then Privacy
3. Tap Factory data reset
4. Tap Reset phone
5. Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm

If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:

1. Turn the power off. If your Samsung Continuum is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Press and release the Power button
7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

Fascinate

1. Turn the power off. Pull the battery out and replace it if the Power button doesn’t work.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons.
3. Release the Power button while continuing the hold Volume Down until a menu appears prompting you to
select Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock.
4. Select Clear Storage using the Volume Down button.
5. Press the release Power button.
6. Select Volume Up for Yes.
7. The Samsung Fascinate will then complete the hard reset process.

ZTE: Salute

1. From the main screen, select Menu.


2. Settings & Tools.
3. Phone Settings.
4. Security.
5. Enter Security Code (usually is the last 4 digits of your phone number).
6. Restore Phone.
7. Yes.
8. OK.
9. Enter Security Code.
10. After completing these steps, the ZTE Verizon Salute will then be reset to factory defaults and all data will
be erased.

BLACKBERRY

Curve 3

1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.


2. Click Security > Security Wipe.
3. To delete data from the messages application, contacts application, and other applications, select the
Emails, Contacts, Etc. check box.
4. To delete all third-party applications that you have added, select the User Installed Applications check box.
5. To delete all files from your media card, select the Media Card check box.
6. Type blackberry.
7. Click Wipe.

Storm2

1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.


2. Click Security > Security Wipe.
3. To delete data from the messages application, contacts application, and other applications, select the
Emails, Contacts, Etc. check box.
4. To delete all third-party applications that you have added, select the User Installed Applications check box.
5. To delete all files from your media card, select the Media Card check box.
6. Type blackberry.
7. Click Wipe.

Bold

1. Hard Reset - Process may take up to 5 minutes or more to complete depending on amount of data on
device.
2. From the main screen, press Blackberry.
3. Scroll to Options, press Trackpad.
4. Scroll to Security Options, press Trackpad.
5. Select from the following options to reset by selecting the check box
*Email, contacts, etc.
*User Installed Applications
*Media Card
6. Type the word blackberry and select "wipe", press Trackpad to continue
PALM TREO:

1. Disconnect the Treo from a charger or USB cable.

2. Remove the battery cover and take out the battery.

3. Press and hold Power/End while you insert the battery.

4. When the screen lights up with the logo appears, release Power/End.

5. Press Up when the Erase all data? prompt appears.

6. Press Up to confirm the hard reset.

7. Go through the steps of setting up the device again by picking a language and calibrating the stylus.

8. Now your Treo 755p/700p is hard reset.
