Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations

8.1 Findings

By answering the statements of the problem, the results of this research and the

proposed project entitled, “IMAHINASYON: A Linkage of Virtual Reality and Social

Centricity: A Proposed E-Sports Arena and Institute for Animation and Gaming

Development with Recreational Area in Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.”

supports the following findings that are important to have a good conclusion and

recommendation:

a) People nowadays appreciate and visit places related to millennial. The researcher

has come up with the proposal’s concept modern Filipino and industrial, because

we, Filipinos, seek to imitate other country’s architecture while our very own art

and culture seems to be sinking. The proposal aims to provide a fantasy-like

architecture that will promote and reinvent the arts and culture of the Philippines.

b) Modern Industrial Architecture. Buildings from around the world focusing not only

on its main goal of housing a production line also garnered attention because of

their design. Since then, and even in this day and age, veritable works of art have

been created by exceptional industrial architects. Industrial architecture is a field

that has also evolved to combine functionality and design and reveal impressive

construction worthy of admiration and recognition.

c) This project will surely increase the market share in the gaming industry which is

one of the top rising industries worldwide, and it will have a positive gesture for the

Philippines, specifically in Sta. Rosa City, because it shows that like other

countries, Filipinos are also taking a step towards the future.

d) The main goal of the Municipality, based on its Comprehensive Development Plan

and Comprehensive Land Use Plan is to attract more tourist in the Municipality,

the proposed project will surely attract more tourist, especially those professional

gamers, game developers and animators all around the globe.

8.2 Conclusions

Based on the findings revealed in this study, the researchers formulated the

following conclusions:

a) A proposal centred mainly in serving unique needs and meeting the demand of the

e-sports community offering a place of live spectating competitive tournament

venue whilst improving the countries market share in the gaming industry which is

now one of the top rising industries worldwide.

b) The use of flexible construction methods, green design strategies, locally source

materials that can adapt to the climate of the country, and the permission of more

open spaces that open up views to the natural environment and allow interaction

between people and spaces contribute to the sustainability and climate

consciousness of the proposed project and help the development to lessen its

impact, doing no harm possible to the natural environment.

c) The proposal will increase the market share in the gaming industry which is one of

the top rising industries worldwide, and it will have a positive gesture for the

Philippines, specifically in Sta. Rosa City, because it shows that like other

countries, Filipinos are also taking a step towards the future.

d) Sustainable tourism development can be achieved through the fusion of Modern

Filipino and Modern Industrial Architecture. The proposal is a perfect blend of

nature and modern comfort of Tropical Filipino culture and hospitality. The

adaptation of the structural of industrial architecture and decorative details of the

traditional bahay kubo and bahay na bato speaks out and reflects the Filipino

culture and identity.

8.3 Recommendations

After careful evaluation of this study, the researcher came up with the following

recommendation:

a) The government, private stakeholders and future designers must take steps in

addressing the supreme pressing issues of the country in the gaming industry by

creating, prioritizing and promoting the creation of integrated sustainable gaming-

tourism developments.

b) In developing and creating a gaming-tourism development, sustainability and

climate consciousness must be put into consideration. Aside from that, one must

consider what will become the impact of the development to the environment.

Designing for the environment must be the top priority before designing for luxury.

c) Materials to be used must always be economical and environmental friendly

leaving no impact to the environment. This is also to lessen the repair and

maintenance cost. Maintaining the whole place is also a must. The cleanliness of

the surroundings, proper usage of facilities and utilities, right and proper disposal

of waste, right consumption of energy, electricity and water must be observed in a

development at all times to ensure balance to the environment and wellness of the

users.

d) Locals and tourists must be conscious and responsible. Climate change is not the

problem to any tourism development. People are the problem. Their ignorance and

their character of being negligent. The proposal will provide a pneumatic waste

collection system that is based on underground pipes connected to the buildings

which are operated by vacuum. This will bring the recycling procedure to a new

level.

e) In creating a tourism development, developers or designers must ensure that it will

not only benefit a single user or just tourists but it will also be beneficial and will

also contribute to the progress and needs of locals and the whole community as

well.

f) To affirm the findings of the present study, a similar related study must be

conducted. Henceforth, further research is recommended.
