DESCRIPTION:

This activity is designed to help students familiarize the definition of ethics and its branches.

OBJECTIVES:

• To identify the branches of ethics


• To differentiate ethics from morals
• To acquire wisdom in the light of acceptable and unacceptable actions of people in
society.

Come up with the following moral arguments on (If you agree, then why. If not, why also.
Include your personal arguments):
1. Is it moral to take the organ of a dying baby to be donated to other babies for them to survive?
2. A lawyer is hired by a hardened criminal to defend him in the court of law in spite of his
record and strong evidences against him.
a. Is it okay for a lawyer to defend the criminal?
b. What are the ethical and moral issues surrounding the situation.
c. Can a lawyer perform effectively his duty to defend the criminal without
compromising his moral integrity?

EVALUATION:
The activity will be presented through the discussion board in canvas. Student are free to respond
