Mechanics For Poster Making Contest

Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation will be holding a poster making contest for its College of Arts and Sciences Unified College of Arts and Sciences (UCASSO) Days celebration. The contest is open to all CAS students and each participant can submit one poster illustrating and emphasizing the theme of the UCASSO Days celebration. Posters will be judged based on relevance to the theme, creativity, and overall presentation. There will be three winners who will receive a certificate and cash prize.

DETAILED MECHANICS:
1. The contest is open to all students – who are enrolled in GECC or General Education
Core Curriculum under Arts and Sciences.
2. Each participant should submit one (1) entry per course/section.
3. During the contest proper the following materials will be used:
 An illustration board (provided by the facilitator)
 Coloring material: oil pastel, markers, ink, mixed media, oil, acrylic, watercolor
and the like. (to be provided by the contestant)
*Bringing other necessary materials is allowed such as erasers, sharpeners, rulers etc.

4. The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme of the UCASSO DAYS
celebration:
5. The participants will be held accountable to any issues that may arise with regards to
the originality and authenticity of the design. The winners output will automatically
become official property of VMUF.
6. The slogan will be judged according to the following criteria:
Relevance to the theme - 40%
Creativity - 30%
Overall Presentation - 30%
100%
7. There will be three (3) winners for the contest: 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Place.
8. The winners will receive Certificate of Recognition and a cash prize.
9. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
