NARRATIVE REPORT
Sustainability is a broad discipline, giving students and graduates insights into most
aspects of the human world from business to technology to environment and the social sciences,
in a modern world looking to drastically reduce carbon emissions and discover and develop the
technologies of the future. Sustainability draws on politics, economics and, philosophy and other
social sciences as well as the hard sciences. Sustainability skills and environmental awareness is
a priority because sustainability looks to protect our natural environment, human and ecological
health, while driving innovation and not compromising our way of life.
We are now living in a modern, consumerist and largely urban existence throughout the
developed world and we consume a lot of natural resources every day. In our urban centers, we
consume more power than those who live in rural settings and urban centers use a lot more
power than average, keeping our streets and civic buildings lit, to power our appliances, our
heating and other public and household power requirements. Sustainability and sustainable
development focuses on balancing that fine line between competing needs - our need to move
forward technologically and economically, and the needs to protect the environments in which
we and others live. Sustainability is not just about the environment, it's also about our health as a
society in ensuring that no people or areas of life suffer as a result of environmental legislation,
and it's also about examining the longer term effects of the actions humanity takes and asking
That’s why our group proposed the PROJECT EEMSD: Environmental Engagement:
A Move for Sustainability and Development with the aim of to increase the sustainable
development in their community, to encourage volunteers and active participation of the young
people in environmental protection and awareness campaigned addressed to the local people.

We arrive their at 2:30 pm and we prepared the place and the plants were going to use,
after a couple minutes the SK Chairman arrive in the place then we started to clean the area.
Sadly after more minutes of waiting we decided to start our planting session, to our dismayed
only a few come and engage with our project. But even though, we continued planting and after
which we watered the plants. After which, we gave our little appreciation to Hon. Sahagun and
Hon. Valencia and after it we distributed the foods we prepare for them, and went home.
Even though our activity didn’t fulfilled its aim we are still thankful of the opportunity
that was given to us, because of the project our group are able to build unity, good
communication and a good relationships towards each other, because of the project we are able
to share our knowledge, we cooperate and collaborate to have a good action plan it’s just that the
community we choose doesn’t have the community engagement and unity we expect. But then
