1. In a given RL type high pass filter R = 3 KΩ and fc = 2000 KHz.
Find out the
value of L. 2. Design a prototype BPF (T and π) having cut-off frequencies of 5 kHz and 10 kHz. The nominal characteristic impedance being 600 ohms. Find the resonant frequency of shunt arm or series arm. 3. Determine the output voltage of an R-L HPF having working frequency 0 Hz, 500 Hz and R = 2 kΩ, L = 159.15 mH. Assume input voltage to be 10 volts. 4. A T-section low pass filter has series inductance 80 mH and shunt capacitance 0.022 µF. Determine the cut-off frequency and nominal design impedance (R0). Also design an equivalent π-section. Ans: 7.587 kHz, 1.907 kΩ. 5. In a RC type LPF, the cut-off frequency is 2000 Hz. Assuming the capacitance to be 80 nF, determine the value of the resistance. Ans: R = 9.95 Ω. 6. In a RL type LPF, assuming 10 V input, find the output voltage for operation at 2 kHz. Assume L = 159.15 mH and R = 500 ohms. 7. In a HP R-C filter, find V0 (a) at 0 Hz, (b) at 100 kHz for a 100 V input. Assume the capacitance to be 80 nF and the resistance to be 1250 ohms. Ans: 0 V, 100 V. 8. Design a constant-K type high pass filter, having fc = 4 kHz and design impedance R0 = 600Ω. 9. Determine the cut-off frequency and the nominal impedance of each of the filter sections shown in following figures.
