Help Guide
Before starting:

This photoshop text action works better with all Capital Letters and
Sans Serif light fonts like these ones:

Geo Sans Light

Of course, you can use the typeface of your preference, but always use

1 a light version and all capital letters for a better result.


Also, use a big letter spacing (200% or more) to avoid overlaping.
How to proceed:

1- Open the PSD file “clouds.psd”

2- Go to the Actions panel and load “clouds.atn”


a) Press F9 or go to Window > Actions
b) Click on the arrow icon ( ) at the right top of the panel and
select “Load Action”.
c) Search for the clouds.atn action and hit OK.

3- Select the brush tool (B).

4- Above the File Menu you will see an icon like this one:
a) Click on the arrow and a window will appear.
b) Click on the highlighted arrow ( ) of the panel and from the
menu select “Replace” (to replace the current brushes) or
“Load” (to add the new brushes to the list).

Click and select “Load”

c) Search for “clouds.abr” and hit OK.


Now you have 4 new brush presets.

Before playing the action:

1- Type your text on the layer named TEXT (be sure to not rename this layer)

2- Set the size of the text to any of these: 35pt, 75pt, 150pt or 300pt.

4- Select the brush tool (B).


a) Above the File Menu you will see an icon like this one:
b) Click on the arrow and a window will appear.
c) Select the loaded brushes according to the text size:
If you set your text to 300pt, then select the preset 151.
If you set your text to 150pt, then select the preset 72.
If you set your text to 75pt, then select the preset 30.
If you set your text to 35pt, then select the preset 14.

Playing the action:

3- Go to the Actions Panel and select the action according to the size of
your text. If you set your text to 300pt, then select the action Cloud 300.

3 4- Hit the Play button.


Final Notes:

Once the action finish you will have 3 “cloud” layers:


- White 1
- Color
- White 2

If you double click the Color layer fx icon ( ) you can change the
overlap color by choosing the one you want.
1) Double click the fx icon on the layer
2) Choose the “Color Overlaping” tab
3) Click the grey color rectangle
4) Choose your desired color and hit OK
5) Hit OK again

Then, you can also get different effects by turning off and on any of the
layers, or simply by changing their opacity.
1) Select the layer you want to change the opacity to.
2) In the layers palette change the opacity for the one you wish.
