Rocket To The Moon

The document outlines a 7-week project for students to design and build rockets made from recycled materials that will launch from the school oval. Students will work in groups with designated roles of designer, materials manager, builder, and evaluator. They will research rocket design, generate ideas, choose materials, construct a prototype, and build the final rocket. The rockets will be launched on the last day where students will evaluate their work through self-reflection and peer review. The goal is for the rockets to launch as high as possible using a chemical reaction for propulsion.

Introduction Design Brief

Let's launch a rocket to the Research, design and build, in groups of four,

The rocket must have a nose cone, a body tube
After researching and exploring all the materials and fins

generating their ideas. The body tube must be made out of a plastic bottle

You will generate an idea of the rocket. The bottle can be no bigger than 2 litres
