CEDAW

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) is an international treaty adopted in 1979 that aims to end discrimination against women. It was adopted by the UN General Assembly and has been ratified by 189 states. The CEDAW committee monitors state compliance and implementation through reviewing state reports and issuing recommendations.
