Pragmatic Decision Due To Covid-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted education systems around the world, forcing governments to close schools and universities to contain the spread of the virus. In India, the nationwide lockdown closed all educational institutions, disrupting learning for students of all levels. Access to technology and reliable internet poses additional challenges for continuing education, especially for students from disadvantaged families and remote learners. Due to the lockdown, one student could not access specialized ABAQUS software at their institute and meet with their guide, delaying some parametric studies for their project. They were able to complete a few studies using their personal computer.

PRAGMATIC DECISION DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The petrifying and severe impact of COVID-19 has shaken the world to its core.
Further, most of the Governments around the world have temporarily closed
educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19
pandemic. In India too, the government as a part of the nationwide lockdown has
closed all educational institutions, as a consequence of which, learners ranging from
school going children to postgraduate students, are affected. Lack of access to
technology or good internet connectivity is an obstacle to continued learning,
especially for students from disadvantaged families, learners remotely and limits the
disruption of education. Due to COVID-19 lockdown, Utilization of ABAQUS
software in institute was not possible. There was no possibility of meeting with guide
to discuss about project progress and project goals. So some parametric studies were
delayed. Personal computer with low capacity used to run numerical model and very
few parametric studies of project completed with satisfied results.
