This report is made according to instructions of the Activity guide - Activity 2 - Writing

assignment - Production and in order to be responsible for the contents of the units, the

environment and the context to express themselves according to their level of English.
1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF

Se Each student share IN ENGLISH this following personal information (Name, age,

address, phone number and occupation, choose a role)

Group has to check “Knowledge Environment” and develop all the Writing exercises.

There are 5 students in the group for five parts in writing exercises. Each student develops

two writing assignments in the Forum.

a. For the first exercise, take the Unit 1.3 activity. What's the weather like? and I will

describe a hail in the city of Bogotá

This natural phenomenon initially it looks like a heavy rain, which is usually

accompanied by a lot of cold wind; then small balls of ice start to fall and it sounds

like when you make corn; it makes you think of ice and cold; it makes me feel small

the force of nature. The accumulation of these ice pellets brings consequences such

as the clogging of sewers that causes flooding, the fall of roofs due to the weight of

the ice and the material damage to vehicles.

When this type of natural phenomenon occurs, it is recommended to seek covered

shelter; as well as checking that the sewers do not get clogged; prevent ice from

building up on roofs and downspouts.

The exercise indicates Rewrite the following passage in the past-tense of the
underlined verbs. Be aware of irregular verbs and write them correctly in the past
tense

Hi Mum,

John and I are having a wonderful time here in Ireland. Every day we get up early and
go for a long walk in the country. When we return we usually have a very big Irish
breakfast which normally consists of two eggs, three slices of bacon, toast and jam. We
usually order a cup of coffee after breakfast: Colombian coffee, of course.

After breakfast we sometimes go swimming in the river. We often meet children who
like to swim there. Theyare very nice. At night we nearly always drink a few pints of
Guinness in the pub�s bar before we go to bed. We always sleep well after that, I can
assure you.

You will write a letter to your best friend to tell him/her about you have a new job. As a group

choose a job to develop. Each student must develop a paragraph about that job. It means

that each student will select one paragraph, one color and develop it as in this instructions.

Dear Andrea;

It is very nice to write you this letter; I am writing to tell you that I have a new job as

Commercial Manager of a utility company public services in Bogotá; it's a very competitive

job, I'm in charge of a group of 25 junior salesmen and 10 master salesmen; they are divided

into 6 zones of Bogotá; It is very complicated to have the salespeople motivated and fulfilling

the goals set. I do not have a fixed schedule, but I have to meet sales goals. I do not use

uniform; I identify with the company's carnet; My job is mainly to prepare sales strategies

and coordinate my group of salespeople.

The main offices of the company are located in Bogotá; but there are secondary offices in

Medellin, Cali, Cartagena and Pasto; soon we will open one in Villavicencio. As for my office

it is a large space provided with a desk with two auxiliary chairs; likewise, it has a small

meeting room for six people and a television. I have been informed that if I need go to one of

the other offices I can use other meeting rooms. In the main headquarters, we have a small

cafeteria and a kitchen; I'm also assigned a private parking lot.

I love work because it gives me autonomy, I can exercise leadership and it has many

economic benefits. I have the possibility of leading a work team and they give me the

resources to adequately perform my tasks; I think I can grow with the company, to develop
both in the work and personally. My colleagues treat me with respect and I feel that they

value my work very much.

What I like least is that my new job demands a lot of time; Sometimes I have to spend time

on weekends and nights. I have discovered that I occasionally neglect my family and when I

have to travel to other places my family can not accompany me. I have very long days, there

are weeks when I sleep very little.

I think in spite of everything it's worth it, what do you think? write me soon; I would love to

hear your opinion about my new job, you know that I trust your opinion a lot.
