DISTANCE vs DISPLACEMENT

DISTANCE is a SCALAR QUANTITY

object is moving.” Speed can be thought of as the RATE AT
WHICH AN OBJECT COVERS DISTANCE.
Since the negative implies
direction and speed does not
assign direction, speed can only
be positive or zero.
