Content Standard: Pre-lesson: Teacher writes ‘traffic light’ in a circle on the board
Main: and pupils are called out randomly to share any words or phrases
2.2 Use appropriate communication strategies related to traffic light.
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils listen to the ‘When I walk Across The Road’ song.

1.2 Understand meaning in a variety of familiar contexts 2. Teacher writes the lyrics on the board for pupils to read. Pupils
are guided to read the lyrics first.
3. Teacher replays the song and pupils sing the song with teacher.
4. Pupils shares the rules they must follow when they walk across
the road. Teacher writes the rules in a graphic organizer.
5. Pupils conduct a think-pair-share session to identify why they
must follow the traffic law.
Post-lesson: Pupils sing the song with gestures guided by the
teacher.
