- For Dr. Jose Rizal education has always been the main reason why our race has progressed so
much from the very beginning. He envisioned knowledgeable individuals that can help our country
to grow. For him without education we are defenseless against people who want to do their
delinquency without facing the music. Jose Rizal once said ”To foretell the destiny of a nation, it is
necessary to open the book that tells of her past ”. as the quote suggest by opening our minds we can
have the better grasp of who we truly are. Furthermore, since education is the foundation of society
and a prerequisite for social progress, Jose Rizal claimed that only through education could the
country be saved from domination.
