Reflection PLLP

Kenidy P. Servilla reflects on preparing her Personal Lifelong Learning Plan (PLLP) at Isabela School of Arts and Trades. Developing a PLLP helps guide her career development and ability to adapt to 21st century changes. Reflection: Experience and learning insights while preparing your Personal Lifelong Learning Plan
(PLLP)

Designing and writing Personal Lifelong Learning Plan (PLLP) is like putting yourself into your
lifetime journey. It represents your career development that will guide me to become more productive and
can easily adapt to the drastically changes in the 21 st Century. It is an stepping stone to prepare myself in
involvement and contribute special role to our society as a teacher, as a leader, as a citizen and especially
as a family member.
Preparing this plan, you need to prepare yourself mentally, physically, and mentally. It made me
to think deeply and leaving a question “what are your plans to develop yourself?”. I think every time
about my dreams, I needed to reflect on the things that I need to improve so that I can cope with the fast-
paced changes in this 21st century. Doing this plan was not an overnight task. You need a huge time to
think of it but it is an effective tool to evaluate myself as a 21 st Century Teacher and I was able to identify,
assess and evaluate myself if I am equipped with the KSAVs (Knowledge, Skill, Attitude and Values)
needed for the 21st Century Education. It also assesses my strengths and weaknesses that helps me to plan
an action for the enhancement of myself in implementing the personal lifelong learning plan to be a
successful and equipped 21st Century Educator. In the implementation of this plan will not be an easy task
but once it is accomplished this will be an assurance that is being directed towards developing and
enhancing my personal and professional aspect in life. And also, in writing this plan, I need to prepare
also myself in every challenge that will come along during the implementation. I need to strengthen my
determination, commitment and deep prayers so that, all the challenges turns smooth journey in evolving
myself holistically.
I owe my school head and co-teachers that provides suggestions and recommendations that helps
us to finish this plan. Listening to the suggestions of others it gives us the opportunity to understand and
consider another viewpoint that can helps me for further development. It improves also strong work
relationships that helps us to work as a team and get to know each other’s characteristics and capabilities.
I want to thank them because, I will not experience this writing a personal lifelong learning plan. They
encourage me to enroll SEAMEO GURO 21, they showed to me that they are always there and willing to
help us anytime.
Because of them and this course, there is a big improvement and adjustment to my existing plans.
Even though I have long years of being a teacher, this plan helps me and provide direction to develop my
professional skills. During the implementation, this will be my guide to become fully equipped with new
sets of knowledge, skills, attitude and values and being responsible and accountable to in guiding our
learners towards in becoming the best that they can be to cope with the challenges and demands of the 21 st
century.
