1. Describe in 300 words the importance of approaches in literary


criticism.
What is the importance of approaches in literary criticism?
Literary Criticism is the analysis of a literary text though various lenses that
highlight authorial stance, purpose, and perspective, while the approach is the way of
dealing with something. If we combine them together that is the subject of these
paragraph. Simply the meaning of these subject is the different way of dealing with
something such as in different kinds of literary text through various lenses.
There are different kinds of approaches in literary criticism. Every approaches has
it’s own definition and functions. Those approaches we’re created to help people on how
to deal with different kinds of literary criticism, such as in identifying different kinds of
studies. This subject is very important for everyone. Because if we are going to perform
a kinds of studies we need this subject to help us on how and what approaches do we
need to do in order for us to make the study become successful. Using different kinds of
approaches will help us on how to create strategy and plan in performing study. The
Importance of approaches in literary criticism is it help us on how to point out the
techniques and strategies in literary criticism, it gives us an idea on what kind of studies
and analysis in examining literary text. There are different kinds of situations that we need
to study, and there are also different kinds of approaches we can use to engage in that
kind of situations.
The more important in this subject is we must become knowledgeable in everything
because without the knowledge we cannot attain everything that we are praying for.
Having a little bit of knowledge on everything is enough to help us on how are we going
to engage with it. The approaches is designed for everyone but it still depend on us on
how are we going to used it and coping different kinds of situations.
2. Which do you think is the most relevant approach in the study of
literature? Discuss in at least 150 words.
For me in todays status of our country in my observation the most relevant and
most common used approach is the sociological approach why? Because we are in the
modern era people are much more focus on social status and economic of our country.
We are in the modern era where the society is the most important part modern era. Also
even our government using the sociological approach to get the attention of the society.
The sociological approach concentrates on the social, economics, and political issues.
Also maybe because of the used of technology that’s why the sociological approach is
the most relevant using the social media is a big factor to make the people become
connected with each other. The sociological approach is interconnected with other kinds
of approaches because if you are going to observe and study the other types of
approaches you also need to socialize with other people in order for you to perform the
said kind of approaches.
