TEACHING SEQUENCES
INPUT – 10’
The teacher greets and introduce herself to the class; asks the students to greet
everyone in class with the phrase “Hello, I’m ________. Nice to meet you.”

The teacher will invite the students to suggest coexistence agreements that allow
the English classes to flow in an atmosphere of harmony and respect. They must
take note of the agreements.

The teacher will show the class rules that must be met in each session
PROCESS – 35’
The students will see a list of the most frequent Greetings on a slide: Hi. Hello. Good
morning, good afternoon, good evening, how are you? Fine, thank you; The most
frequent farewells too: See you later, see you tomorrow, goodbye, take care, see
you, see you soon, bye, good night.

The students carry out oral practice of the expressions presented.

The teacher invites the students to ask personal questions.

The teacher will write the questions the students suggest.

Each student is going to ask a question from the list to the teacher, whom will
answer them.

In a slide the teacher will present personal information questions: What’s your
name? How old are you? What’s your phone number/address?

The teacher will read the questions and the students will have to repeat with the
correct pronunciation.
The teacher asks the students to interview their classmates and introduce them to
the class. i.e.: “This is Mary. She is 18 years old. Her phone number is 951427241.
Her address is Saint Martha 23th street”

The teacher presents a short dialogue in order to go over the phrases about
personal information.

A: Hello! I’m Lyn. What’s your name?

B: Hi, Lyn. Nice to meet you. My name is Sofia.

A: Nice to meet you, too. How are you?

B: Fine and you?

A: Good, thanks. How old are you?

B: I am 16 years old and you?

A: I am 16 years old, too. What’s your phone number?

B: My phone number is 953489210. And yours?

A: My phone number is 989123383. See you.

B: Bye bye
OUTPUT – 10’
Students personalize the conversation using their own data and present it to the
whole class.
