INFORMATION

The undersigned Associate Prosecution Attorney II and Inquest


Prosecutor of Zamboanga City, hereby accuses BERNABE JAN A. BAS of
violation of Section 266-A of the Revised Penal Code (RPC), as amended by
Republic Act (R.A.) No. 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, as follows:

That on or about the 10th day of January 2020, in the City of Zamboanga,
Philippines, and within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, the above-named
accused, by means of force, intimidation and depriving the victim of reason, did then and
there, willfully, unlawfully and feloniously, have carnal knowledge of one Jozel
Lacastesantos-Bas, wife of the named-accused.

Contrary to law.

I, HEREBY CERTIFY, that THIS INFORMATION IS FILED PURSUANT


TO Section 6 Rule 112 of the Revised Rules of Criminal Procedure, as amended,
the accused having opted to avail of his right to preliminary investigation and
having executed a waiver pursuant to Article 125 of the Revised Penal Code;
The accused was informed of the complaint and of the evidence submitted
against him and was given an opportunity to submit controverting evidence. That
on the basis of the evidence obtaining in this case probable cause exists against
the accused that the offense charged has been committed and he is probably
guilty thereof.
