I. Title: Utilization of local feed stuffs for micro scale feed milling in
Aurora, Isabela
II. Actual Situation
- Feed Industry. Aurora Isabela is a second class municipality in
the province which has a most number of backyard pig raiser. This will
serve as other source of income following to rice, corn and vegetable
farming. Due to most number of backyard pig raiser in town, feed
industry in town has a potential for market.
- Feedmills. At present there is no feedmills in town
- Raw materials availability. Aurora Isabela is known as vegetable
basket following to planting rice and corn, Availability of raw materials
is very sufficient to supply the raw materials for making local feeds but
not compromise the nutrient content of the feeds.
- Feeds quality. Since the town is dependent in farming, the
availability of raw materials always sufficient to supply fresh raw
materials from point of production to feeds processing. Rest assured
the excellent quality of feeds to produce.
- Marketing of feeds. One of the agony of pig raiser is a high price
of feeds available in the market today. If this plan will prosper and give
a chance to implement with the help of ITCPH, we have to produce
feeds most economical but it does not compromise quality nutrient
value of the local feeds.
