it is shunted by a resistance of 5  . Calculate the balancing length when the

c) A 3cm of long copper wire is produce an extension of 0.3 cm. If the
Poisson’s ratio for copper is 0.26 what is the lateral strain produced in the
wire?

b) What pressure is required to reduce the volume of a lead block by 1%.?

29) a) State and derive parallel axis theorem.


b) In Melde’s experiment, when tension in the string is 10 g wt then three
loops are obtained. Determine the tension in the string required to obtain
four loops, if all other conditions are constant.

29) a) Obtain an expression for torque acting on rotating body with constant
angular acceleration. State its S.I unit & dimension.
b) The length of air column for fundamental mode in resonance tube is 16 cm
and that for the second resonance further is 50.25 cm. Find the end
correction and inner diameter of tube.
