Group Assignment 5 - Case: Mohit & Debbie

Question 1
In the context of organizational change and leadership, how can we define the problem
that Mohit and Debbie find themselves in?
This seems to be a case where we can see a “resistance towards change” in an organization.
Logically, the organization ABC Analytics is by all accounts in a repetitive "development"
stage, given its size (~1000 representatives). For this situation, the blending of Mohit with
that of his job (working with Debbie) is a befuddle. Mohit plainly has a talent for specialized
mastery and a characteristic yearning to turn out to be more capable in fact (reference in the
event that – Technical Lead position, master in designing solutions...).

In any case, because of customer represent ABC organization developing (development

model of association change), its choice to compensate superior workers in India by giving
them coastal, customer confronting functions to additionally build up their abilities.

Mohit's past understanding as a specialized lead maybe involved him to just take a shot at the
customer prerequisites and guarantee execution of the proposed arrangement. His present
obligations in a customer confronting job expect him to deconstruct the issue, talk with
partners and afterward propose an answer, and characterize prerequisites. In addition to the
fact that this is in opposition to what he was formerly doing, yet additionally isn't in
accordance with his yearnings. He starts to question his profession way in the US association.
The preparation can be considered to be somewhat similar to the "splash and ask technique"
consolidated by the association.

On the opposite side, Debbie was confounded about her development in counseling practice,
explicitly with a group with individuals like Mohit (profound specialized authority however
very little intrigue and involvement with counseling) working with her.

Question 2
What interventions can be taken by Debbie to ensure Mohit’s performance is not
affected and he feels motivated to take up additional challenges in consulting?
The human relations approach to change & leadership
- Taking into factor Mohit’s consulting role training for proper alignment to role before
actually taking it up.

Question 3
What interventions can be planned by senior leaders to help Debbie to meet her goals
for the account, and for Mohit to be prepared for changes at onsite?
Possible interventions that the leadership could take in order to help Debbie (meet her goals
for the account ) and Mohit (preparedness for onsite changes):
- Tell and sell strategy: instruction / guidance to Mohit’s team

order to encourage herself to bring forward some creative freedom to explore various
possibilities.
