Speaking Final e-Assessment Guidelines (421-1)
1. Skills/Listening & Speaking teachers should post the topics as an announcement on Blackboard by Tuesday, October 13, 2020. They should discuss the topics with their students and explain the procedures to them in details. 2. Students choose one of the topic cards and do a presentation/speech about it. The presentation/speech should be one to two minutes long (for A1 & A2) and two to three minutes long (for B1 & B1+). 3. Students can video record their speeches/presentations using a phone, laptop, a camera, etc. 4. Students should upload their videos on YouTube. 5. Skills/Listening & Speaking teachers should create an assignment titled Speaking Final e-Assessment in the assessments folder of their courses with 20 points and set it for 24 hours, from 8:00 AM on Sunday, October 18 to 8:00 AM on Monday, October 19, 2020. It’s advisable to allow multiple (2 or 3) attempts. 6. They should reject late submissions and submissions done through channels other than the created Speaking Final e-Assessment in the Skills/Listening & Speaking course on Blackboard. 7. Students must post their YouTube links in the assignment created by their teachers in the Skills courses (for A1 & A2) and Listening and Speaking courses (for B1 & B1+) on Blackboard within the allowed time (24 hours). 8. Faculty members are not allowed to accept video files posted by students. Only YouTube links should be accepted. 9. The following video tutorials, prepared by ELPYI e-Learning team, should be shared with students.
