MP3 Voice Board

Description: The MP3 Voice board is

a voice unit that outputs MP3 files on
command from specified 24Vdc inputs.

When used in an elevator it uses floor

inputs and a trigger to voice floor
messages. On receipt of direction inputs it
voices the direction of travel. The unit also
has 5 inputs which can be used for general
messages.

Features:
• 8 inputs for floor messages which can be direct inputs or configured in grey code or binary.
• 1 trigger input for initiating floor messages.
• 2 direction inputs for direction messages.
• 5 additional inputs for other messages which can also be direct inputs or configured in grey code or binary.
• Inputs may be positive or negative switched.
• Mono speaker output.
• USB port for high speed programming of board.
• Programming software available.

Wiring:
• Supply is wired to 0V +24 terminals. This is a 24Vdc supply.
Note: If a switch mode power supply is used it is recommended that the supply wires be looped through
a ferrite core
• All inputs use the “C” common terminal as their reference.
• If “C” is 0V then the inputs shall be 24V. (See diagram on next page)
• If “C” is 24V then the inputs shall be 0V
• Inputs:
• TRIG – On rising edge of this input turning on, the floor messages shall be sounded as per their
respective input.
• 1…8 – Floor Inputs 1-8 shall be sounded on receipt of the rising edge of the TRIG input. The floor inputs
may be configured as direct, binary or grey code. If Binary or grey code is used the inputs shall be
thought of as…. 1 = 1, 2 = 2, 3 = 4, 4 = 8, 5 = 16, 6 = 32, 7 =64 and 8 = 128.
• UP, DN – Direction of travel messages.
• 9…13 – General message inputs sounded once only when the inputs turning on.
• Speaker – “SPEAKER” terminal. Wire SPEAKER to these terminals.
