How to form the plurals

 Generally, you add an S at the end of the noun.

 All the words that end with S, SS, SH, CH, X, O, will have
ES added at the end of the word.

 All the words that end with Y after a consonant, the Y will
be replaced with IES.

 All the words that end with Y after a vowel will be


added an S.

 All the words that end with an F and FE (with some exceptions)
will be replaced by VES.

 All the words ending with GE will have an S added at the end
of the word (the pronunciation will change to ¨yis¨ at the end).

 Words that change without rules (they don´t follow any rule.
They are also called IRREGULAR PLURALS):

CHILD - CHILDREN
FOOT - FEET
TOOTH - TEETH
MOUSE – MICE

OX – OXEN
