Content Standard
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the integration of social science perspective and community action
initiative.
Performance Standard
The learners shall be able to synthesize he integrative experience of implementing community-action initiatives
applying social sciences’ ideas and methods.

A. Activity
 Teacher’s Input
 Discuss the purpose of Community Action and the Role of Youth in Community Action.
 Discuss the different ways of assessing community action.
 From the five major social issues subject to community action discussed, ask the students to identify one
which mostly affects them and explain the reason behind.

B. Analysis

 Using the SHARED BLOG feature of Genyo, the students will be sharing their answer to the question
presented above. In addition, the students should also share their role as a youth in addressing the chosen
social issue.

C. Abstraction/Generalization

 The purpose of community action is to enable people to work in solidarity in addressing social problems. In
the Philippines, especially with what’s going on today people should collectively work on social problems
involving education, health, livelihood, environment, and disaster. In dealing with such, the role of the youth
is undeniably important. They should be involved in taking a valued position in the society or community
where they live. The communities in turn, benefit from their contributions, ideas, and energies.

D. Assessment/Transfer

2. After carefully studying the case, the students will identify the following:

evaluation activities.)
B. What are the threats and opportunities of the youth who initiated the program?
C. What are your recommendations for improvement?
